Even with the public’s disdainful reaction to such people in previous reports, things don’t seem to become better. Is it our social fabric that is thinning at such an alarming rate? But it seems contradictory that the ones that oppose it are the senior citizens themselves…


As one youngster who does not oppose put it so aptly…" It seems so strange that elderly people should object to building a nursing home that is meant to meet their needs."

A case of denial that they may end up there one day??

The one who was started the petition was 44. Weird. He should know better that in no time he will be a enior citizen himself.

Wonder what kind of values is he imparting to his children?? If his kids petition like he did, put him somewhere far & hardly visit him, he will know what kind of '德' he has accumulated. :nunchuk:

out of the 40 storeys, the first 10 are shopping mall, the next 10 are tuition centres like TLL etc, and make the top 20 storeys to become luxury condo priced cheaper than HDB ...... sure 200% welcome and queue overnite to buy


..... after 2 years of rental contract with tuition centre, take back the lease and convert to nursing home ..............

Those who stays below 8 storeys will be blocked. One also said her children in nearby school may get infected from the spread of diseases.
