      x_x Im dead!! What do I do? 😞 My results really suck! My parents are so gonna ground me >_<

      Haiz... My teacher just rang up my parents today, boy they were angry. 😞

      Ah well, I already received that call yesterday. So when I picked the boy, I said \"I thot you said you didn't fail any subjects?\" ... then he said \"no, no ... I said I didn't get any F9s!\". :roll:

      Your son has a sense of humour. 🙂

        @phankao;

        XD it's hard to not fail any subjects lah.. Secondary school is not like Primary School le... Primary School still can sit back and relax, still can pass. Secondary school u sit back and relax for awhile already fail like siao 😞

        The teacher asked my father to go meet him.

        GG!!!!!! 😞 I die liaooooss!!

        My parents so far only know I fail one subject and are really angry already. Should they know more, I'm dead...

        Any idea how should I break the news to them without flaring them? XD

        Now my mom is going to THROW ME TONS OF TUITION AND ENRICHMENT CLASSES NOW. She's using her wide connection of \"aunties\" from Yishun to Ang Mo Kio to look for tuition.

        Hopefully my father doesn't lock the computer. I still want to KSP and use Facebook :B

          I already met tr in Term 1, so this time didn't bother. Anyway, my boy did improve from Term 1, and yes, no F9. LOL. And only 1 subject below 50, so I should be happy, huh? :siao:

            I heard the Secondary Ones this year can apply for IP course starting from next year if they do really well 😮 is that true?

            Not that I've heard of. IP for Sec 3s start only for intake for Year 2015 according to website details.

            According to the MOE website:

            http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/2011/11/implementation-of-integrated-programme-on-track.php

            It would be 2015 Sec 3 for Catholic High unless you are thinking of 2014 Sec 3 for SJI[/quote]So normal O level students in sec 3 (2015) can switch to IP track.
            Any idea where the new JC campus would be located?

                But overall percentage pass?? Bc mine overall just over 50% . Maybe that's why teacher calls. Can get kicked out of school one or not, har? Any idea?

                  Don’t knw about now but previous practise, if a student failed would be asked to retain. If during sec 2 he passed but scored below 60%, he will be posted to the weakest class (only one), and could only take a 7-subject combination though A maths is compulsory.

                    @phankao;

                    I don’t know. But apparently my mom has a lot of friends whose sons went into CHS and got kicked out after that.

                    I already passed overall though I failed my Geography and Biology (My English was saved by my MR1! Phew!)

                    My form teacher didn’t call my parents though my Geography teacher did.

                    My family is so irritating!!! Argh! Can’t live with them anymore! Keep saying how easy the Geography is and my sister keeps calling me a loser when she herself didn’t even get a diploma!

                    It’s now the holidays already and they can’t get over the fact that I failed Geography. I MEAN. WHAT THE HELL!? LOOK AT HOW MANY DAYS HAVE PASSED AND THEY ARE STILL NAGGING.

                    What’s worse, because I’m the last in class for Geography, my father keeps saying I’m last in class for overall. HOW MANY FRICKIN TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL THAT IDIOT IM NOT LAST IN CLASS FOR OVERALL. IT’S JUST ONE SUBJECT, AH PEK!!! >_<

                      Hi Ichigokun

                      I have read some of your posts. You appear to be a very knowledgeable teenager and are interested in many things (you are even self-learning Korean Language and teaching aunties, uncles here!).
                      As to why you had not done well for your exams, maybe you should do some self-reflections. If I remember correctly, you had achieved a very decent PSLE t-score, which means that you are smart. So, this time round could it be your lack of enough effort, poor time management, lack of focus in class, prioritising the wrong things? A smart person like you should be able to pick yourself up from where you had fallen. Further, if you put in effort, tried your best, I believe your parents would be more than happy. In the next term, please remember to update us with your improved results, OK. I believe you are capable of it.

                      PS: just to share with you my friend’s daughter (real case, I know this friend for 17 years). Her daughter got 220+ for her psle, went on to a secondary school in Bedok, but through sheer hard work, achieved 8 distinctions in her "O" levels. Even her weakest subjects, English and Maths, also got distinctions. Marvellous, right? The girl is now in a junior college. Hope this can be an inspiration to you!

                        Actually CHS also has these types of students among the top o-level scorers. Hopefully our kids will turn around.
