for each RC / GRC -

is there any maximum number of people to convert them to Executive level, per batch of P1 registration due ?

Cos I found on some NC websites that say term of office is June 2010 to June 2012??

How do they decide when to convert the observers?

Max. 30 executive members. EM can be appointed anytime as long as there is capacity in the RC/NC and has nothing to do with term of office. However, we do review membership when a new term starts to get rid of \"dead\" members (members who don't even appear for monthly mtgs).

To be confirmed as EM, one has to show commitments and be active in RC/NC/GRC activities, besides attending monthly meetings. Typically it takes about 6 months. Of course there are also cases which are shorter.

CM should know, if not CD (Constituency Director), also PA staff. If not, just email your advisor, that is, your MP. Their emails are readily available. But make sure you have a good case/reason to appeal.

PA told me, we falls under the CC's sport committee and is not eligible.

Sub-committees under CCMC such as CSC, WEC, MAEC, IAEC, YEC etc are not eligible. Only members of the CCMC are eligible for the privilege. Do note. This has been discussed and brought up many times in this forum for the past few years. Probably you served without the intention 5 yrs ago, hence never ask/find out then, and now has the need but realised this privilege is not applicable for you.

If successfully endorsed as active GRL, PA will inform you to get the letter from PA (usually at CC). I don't think it's by mail, at least not for me 3 years ago. Just bring this letter to school on day of registration will do, among other doc required by MOE for P1 reg. Cheers!

Make sure help out in the event as much as you can. Build rapport with chairman as you need chairman's signature for Phase 2B letter.

Phase 2B Letter needs Chairman signature? Thought we just apply online and PA will directly send to us or via CO?

No signature required and P2B thing does not concern or involve the Chairman. He/she has no say in that. If you are eligible, you will be able to register online and wait for the letter. That simple. Chairman does not know who are eligible and who receive the letter from PA.

Thanks dorisp! I've been missing for quite awhile. Didn't know this forum has been so active...ya lah, it's this time of the year..ha ha. Hope I can help. As for me, I have stepped down as VC of my RC for the new term due to heavy commitments from my kids but I remain as EM to help in areas within my means.

But my Chairman knows who are eligible for P1 online because he can check with the CO when that member is being confirmed. Or those need ‘letters’. Anyway, the person himself will blurt out one lah…
