In-law problems?
-
My hubby's spoilt and hopeless sister married cheapskate ang Moh...the most recent visit was to get her mother to sell the flat and make sure she has a share. Her ang Moh husband bought a washing machine for his mother-in-law...with an ulterior motive. Btw, this ang moh is supposed to be a dentist in America.
This idiotic sister of his expected to be treated like royalty...fly kite. Asked my hubby for my kids' phonics books to teach hers. She, the husband and 2 sons stayed in mother's place, dirtied it and made her mother hit the roof. Didn't pay a cent and neither did she fork out money for meals. During the 2 weeks here, she literally made hubby buy breakfast and send all the way there  damn bit%^. -

Did your hubby buy breakfast for them daily? :yikes: -
to settle these problems, employ a maid. Anything ask and tell the maid.

Dear Tutormum,
Yes, u are so right. Plan for ourselves coz from what we can see now , the painful hardfacts is that our future was not included in their future. 他们计划的未来由始至终从来都没有包括我们的未来。
Thats the main reason why i had left and set up my own business even at the price of PILS had threatnened to cut off ties with me coz i had also set up a similar trade but a very small business compared to theirs. I still went ahead and persisted and work hard for my business. They wanted to cut ties, then cut off lorr. I will have only regrets if i did not put my first step away from them. They can fully support their daughter and hubby to set up their own business (same trade), and their daughter even though she has own business now, but she is still working for her parents at the same time. Weird isnt ? Logic?? me on the other hand , used my savings to set up my own busness, but i was pronounced as a traitor by them even though i did not touch any of their customers base or contacts. I have integrity unlike their daughter keep telling her hubby to \"steal\" their customers and took goods from theirparents business without paying for sale in her hubby's store. This is of course with her parents blessing lah. Ha , this kind of no cost business, any idiot also can be successful.
My DH told me to establish well my business and as he sees no future in his parents business. He too regretted to have stay in that \"stupid\" business for too long. If he had met me much earlier, i would have told him to leave while he still has the advantages. We are now just waiting for 天时地利人合, when the right time comes............ Or if things fall apart, at least we still have my business to survive on.
When i look back it is such a painful and long journey for us. Like your DH younger brothers, my DH had spent his younger full of energnetic years helping his parents expand their business. What did he earn after all?? Nothing but only regrets. Family business?? i pui........we thought and was constantly reminded by the money mind PILS, not to be calculative as we are a FAMILY........PUI.....at the end of day, we are the losers not them, coz they are the calculative and manipulative ones.
No regrets that i have no more ties with them. Life is so much lighter now. :rahrah: -
Thank goodness he had to work...or else have to provide 3 meals a day for 2 weeks. Staying in mother's place already free. At least fork out money for meals...bloody idiot. Expect to be ferried around. She thinks she is a tourist or some VIP?

Help!!!!! :frustrated:
Do the old folks in your household expose themselves as they get older?!?!
First was my FIL...he's gone. Hardly 9 months of peace & MIL started. Sometimes she refuses to close the toilet door while peeing.
Now she would just stand at her room to change (sometimes strip off totally). There is a spot where she would not be seen but instead insist changing at the spot directly facing the cooridoor leading to other rooms & kitchen door. Have told her off but she just ignored. Stupid DH says just let her be. :stompfeet:  -
I believe they can’t help it. Even if they are healthy, active but something is happening up in the head. Just can’t connect.
Got to close one eye. -

Gotta prep DS to look away....
MIL will start staying home full day starting Sep, hope she won't get too disruptive cos DS PSLE coming......sigh. :nailbite: -
Psle? Oh dear, hope your mil’s condition is mild n not cause any problems.
Look at it this way, at least your kid has an idea what to expect when people are old. When it is our turn to behave in this manner, at least it won’t be a major shock n our kids know how to handle it. -

Actually we had already gone thru a very difficult time last 2 year when FIL dementia worsen. I could empathize a little due to his condition. But for MIL, she is perfectly fine.....just being selfish & low EQ. She's had chose to work as an office cleaner but unfortunately, the company folding up so she's be stuck at home soon. That's my fear. :sick:Psle? Oh dear, hope your mil's condition is mild n not cause any problems.

Whenever she's around, she interferes into my routine & life, nags (screech is more appropriate), repeatedly disrupts my kids when they are studying & insists on interrupting & talking to me over trivial matters when I'm in the midst of discussing/coaching kids. Very frustrating to have her around. :frustrated:
On bad days, I lock them in my room to block her off & let them concentrate. Sometimes she offers them food which they din want ..... she will ignore & ask every few mins, then sit beside them, eat & kept exclaiming its nice, why they dun like. She likes etc. Repeatedly, until even my kids got fedup with her at times.
