Hi

What is the class size ? Thanks
My DD is with P3 writer’s toolbox class. I find it good. yes, there are so many bombastic words. But I am sure they can not remember all of them. I hope my DD can remember few words and use them in her compo. Few words is good enough for me. She did her SA1 compo well.

Anyone DS/DD taking maths in MS ang mo kio?

Can advice whether their maths is good and do they teach the concepts in class or simply doing worksheets?
Please enlightening me as MS do not have trial class.
DS taking their science at the moment but was affected by change of new teacher.
Am monitoring the situation and if don’t get better, I will withdraw him as the next class also a new teacher!
Thus will also like to seek advice which teacher for P3 maths in amk ctr is good.

I think they will do the worksheets for Maths. Along the way, the teacher will guide them. If I am not wrong, they wont teach the concepts seperately. They will follow the worksheets and go thro all the answers with step by step solution. If u prefer individual attention for Maths, it may not suit. Think carefully before u decide. One more thing - their Maths worksheets are good. So dont make the decision by just looking at the worksheets and their standard. (That's what I did last year) Must seriously do the homework to find out more about the teacher. Then only you can see the success. This is my own opinion. All the best.

Is your kid still in MS and which branch did you enrol to?
Any advice on the AMK branch?

How is the clementi branch??
Their Maths did not suit for my DD so I withdrew her after few months. I decided to enroll my DD there after seeing their worksheets which are really really good. I am coaching her on my own now. But it suits well for my friend's DD. She improved a lot from lower Band 2 to upper band 1. So again it depends on our luck and different child learn differently. Hope it helps.

Many thanks.

I have no doubt that their worksheet will be good as DS is now in their Science class. Their notes are good so their maths should be of the same standards too. Its about the teachers I felt that will make the differences.
I will let DS try out for a month first...should be 2 mths including of offsetting the deposit as they do not provide trial class and no refund upon withdrawal. :frustrated:

Yes. I will suggest that you talk to the teacher after or before the class whenever possible. Then they will know that you are very concerned. this will bring positive effect (most probably) in the class.
