My younger son (currently 16 months) is in Agape Cecil Street infantcare since he was 6months old. I have to say it’s a very good infantcare and I really like the teachers there. If you need further advice, feel free to pm me.

        Hi mummies,

you may need to label your kid's belongings in the infant childcare to prevent missing or misplaced, can refer to below link, the iron on types is good for towels, bibs, uniforms, etc...

          insider:
I closed down two of my infant care sections, even tho enrolment is good and my monthly fees are about $1600.

          I had a ratio of 1:3.

I observed the TRAINED teachers taking care of the babies. They were dedicated but I somehow still felt shorthanded and the babies were not given enough attention.

I love kids and I felt guilty and so closed it down (despite parents requested to pay higher fees to get in more staff but I just felt this business is a futile business unless intend to work it like a 'community service' or 'hard hearted' and 'don't care' (almost every cent that I made in my infant sections went back to the babies' food and supplies + staff salaries...stressed for nothing...)

I vow...no more infant care business for myself...

I agree. It's hard work to maintain an IFC. And if you really love the children, you'll end up buying this & that to ensure the babies don't miss out on anything!

Salute to you for taking a move which most operators won't! 🙂

          Regards,
          Mrs Wong

How about learning baby care and do it your own?

There are 8 upcoming “Baby Care Workshop for Fathers” at the Community Centres/Clubs (CCs), specially tailored for first-time fathers or those of you who need some refreshment on baby care knowledge. As you celebrate the birth of your newborn, be equipped with the skills to prepare yourself for the many challenges ahead.

A high-quality and substantial father involvement in baby care plays an important role in the growing up of a child and helps in language and IQ development. This baby care workshop is designed to introduce new fathers to the delight of caring for a baby in a simulated environment through hands-on practice.

Participants will acquire the basic skills of baby care such as basic handling, bathing, dressing up, diapers changing, swaddling/safe sleeping, feeding and winding after feeding. Dummies and baby care requisites will be used for demonstration and practice. Handouts will also be given on the skills learnt in the workshop.

Take the first step to be involved in your baby’s development today! Click on the link to sign up for the workshop at your nearest CC.

I am looking for an infant care, anyone hvae any good recom?[/quote]

                    HI there,
Hope you have found one now. If not you can check out My First skool branch at Bedok North Str 3. DS is really happy there in the infant care. I got know know he learns drawing (scrible with color pensil) / hand painting..and pasting animal cutting. I can see he is really close to all the teachers there.

I lover their activities too, in this coming June there will be a Kid-In-Charge day where we will be going to marina barrage for some kids reading prog. And next wed, there will be a author meet readers session where parent can join in.

                    My 2 cents worth.

                    Cheers!

Anyone can share usually how long they have to wait for a place in my first skool infant care? Cos I called up the call centre but they are unable to give a time frame or even tell me how many infants on the waiting list. I’m really worried cos time to go back work is drawing near!
