        Hi all

My god-daughter is studying at Columbia at Jurong West.

Currently, she is in K2. Very stressful. Every week got 20 chinese & english spelling to learn. And also have Exam for them.

I see my friend is more stress than her daughter.

But one good thing I can see from my god-daughter is that she is definately very well-prepared for P1 till P2.

The school have taught her a lots of new words & things that most of the children with the same age group as my god-daughter may not even know or understand.

So if u really looking for academic, this school will be good.

School curriculum is good, but important is the teacher, suggest to those who are keen to pay visit to columbia and maybe speak with the parents. And maybe you might like to see some posts concerning Columbia in this forum as well. Do a search for Columbia, you should be able to find the other post on the centre.

My kid will join P1 student care ctr at Columbia Jurong West next year.

The principal told me timetable v pack, not even encourage to take a shower before go to the school in the afternoon session as might miss out the tuition lessons.

They very emphasis the academic results as placed on the memo board…do not know is it the right environment for my kid? Hopefully will not scare her off as her child care centre more fun theme oriented.

Hi everyone! im a newbie hence would appreciate any sort of advice for all the experts out there 🙂 I am thinking of enrolling my 35mths old boy at the above centre for a full day program. We went over and were impressed by the explaination and curriculum laid out to us. But it would be better if anyone here could give me a feedback on these centre before i decide further. any mommies have kids there?

                    Hi YqYq,

I'm also considering this Columbia Student Care and read that u hv enrolled ur child there.

How do you find this Columbia Student Care? Does ur child like this place? Do the teachers ensure all school homework are completed at student care?

                    THanks for your feedback.

My kid joined in last Dec and I withdraw her in May. Even forfeited my deposit. They don't allow homework bring to centre to do coz their timetable squeezed with group tuition from 9am - 11am. Then lunch till 11.30pm and start packing to school by 11.45pm, reach school before 12pm. My kid will be wandering at school from 12 - 12.30pm before assembly.

Not encouraged shower before go to school, and breakfast will be either 5's biscuits or 2 slices of bread with jam on alternate days. Lunch catered by outside and not bad.

Teachers quite dedicated but environment so so...as too many students in the centre especially during holiday as Morning and afternoon session students wil be there together.

Hope the info can serve you well...

Sorry...school homework allowed provided your kid reach there by 7am and finish up by 8.30am as breakfast time from 8.30am to 9am before Group tuition start.
