So did you ladies receive the report book with cheerie faces and joyful-hands?
      Oh yes, cheerie-ly πŸ˜‚ & joyfully :rahrah:
As expected, my DD's HCL needs to buck up..

        Scary:

I need to spend this holiday getting DS to practise writing all over again. Handwriting is atrocious! I showed him his handwriting in Term 1 vs now. Both DH and I wanna cry. 😒
Listen to my advice and you won't good wrong. Go to Clementi's Big Bookshop (same floor as Yamaha) and get those K1/2 writing practice books. Then everyday get your ds to do nothing except writing. Trust me in this. He'll reap the reward after a few weeks/months.

Btw, thx for the dental advice.

Sama-sama. My ds HCL score is the lowest amongst the 3 subjects - pulled down by all those show-and-tell presentations. But it's only fair lah - as his spoken Mandarin is certainly not fantastic. πŸ˜‚

Thanks Mrsbongz. Mine also never had any issues going for dental visits since K1. So happen I read about this thread on sch dentist visit gone wrong so I thought I better seek assurance from the rest.

Dont want to risk ds developing dental phobia - there's really such a term - at the expense of saving some money. I'm glad my fear was unfounded. πŸ˜„

How's your ds swimming test getting along? Mine is learning butterfly now ...... but I see him kick-kick, splash-splash but the body never moved far leh. πŸ˜‚

Btw I think I recognized your dh now. Saw him a few times at student care.
he is takin the stage 4 swimsafer.. Ok la, swims well when he is in mood lo... Haha.. He doesnt like to exert himself in anything.. Drives me crazy when he doesnt swim properly bcos he 'doesnt feel like it'

My dh still cant recognise u or ur ds i think.. He is that blur type πŸ˜›

We r also using the holidays to practise handwriting... Ds did very badly for maths cos he couldnt read his OWN handwriting n wrote the wrong answers down!! :spank:

But your dh makes beri good barbeque chicken wings.

Don't know when then got chance to savor it again. Funny, this year no newbie requests for chanting yet. πŸ˜‚

Your ds can't even read his own handwriting! :yikes: It would have sounded really funny except in this case whereby the stakes are high. If it happened to me, that would have angered me. And my ds will then comment (again) that I like to use curse - but not vulgar - words when I'm agitated.

SOS … I’m at Mee Mee Optics now. Are PH students allowed coloured lenses? You know like those transition types? For better eye protection.

πŸ†’ I think it is ok as I know of an ex student in PH that wear that kind of spectacles.

Jennifer gave me the GO number to call but the lady said she thinks not allowed. Anyway agree with the optician who said since my son only wearing specs in class currently, no need to spend extra money on transition lens.

Thankfully ds myopia didn't increase - in fact his astigmatism dropped a little. I think all these weekly outdoor activities we started once he started wearing specs are paying off now. So for those kids still blessed with good eyesight, don't forget the outdoor activities. Don't regret like me.

My son told me his classmate is using transition. Teacher told the boy to take out the sunglasses during PE :rotflmao: and the boy told him they are not sunglasses. My boy asked me to get him a pair but at the rate he is changing lenses every year, it's too costly although transition does help in bright sunlight.
