SM after GST is 800 plus.. all included, no extra charges mentioned on parent sitting-in.. it's complusary for parent to sit in.. as they stress on bonding between child-parent 🙂 enjoy

I too like the staff and teachers at MLG. Though mine is at Jurong East so it seems it is quite standardised!

Any parents keen to sign up your child for My Little Genius - Jurong East, I have a $50 voucher to give away. Only for new sign ups. Please pm me thanks!

                  Hi,

Anyone have tried Brain Brilliance (former home based SM at Bishan)? Can share your experience as I am interested.

My elder DD was with SM since 1yr old for 5yrs. Did home practise daily for 30mins (1-3yrs old) and 45min-1hr (4-6yrs old). Combined with Tweedle Wink (before 4yrs old) and Wink (5-6yrs old) as I took online TweedleWink course 6yrs ago. Used SM flashcards, 65 days dots cards, Mini LUK/LUK, Nikitin blocks, LM, Mandala cards, Tweedle Wink/Wink products and many DIY flash cards, Glenn Doman POI and Encyclopedia knowledge cards etc.

Result : DD is an independent reader, fast at grabing concept, good memory. But she dislike Math dot cards and I failed to go through the whole cycle, hence not too good in that area. She has a thirst for knowledge and loves to read.

Now second baby, started pre-natal with BabyPlus. Signed up for SM prenatal program but they never able to start a class. So gave up and just relied on BabyPlus. Used black/red/white colour cards at 2mth old, then proceed to flashcards when she turned 4mth. Incorporated with Glenn Doman method this time - more on physical development. Crawling, swimming, monkey bar. From 8mths onwards, she has been doing 300 cards daily (10mins a day).

My experience: SM is very ex and standard of staff has dropped. Since now there are more choices, you should look around to find out before you commit. But most important, you must understand the right brain training method thoroughly before you start. I have also attended the Brain Gym class and hence get to know why certain exercises (eg. eye exercise) are done in such a way and the effect of them.

There are now many right brain materials available, hence much easier to prepare your home practise materials. Daily home practise is very important to see effect.

                    Hi MIshasha,

My boy only attended SM for 1.5 yrs…that was when he was 2 … Felt tat the training part was almost the same thru the terms only increase in difficult level … So I dropped and trained myself… More relaxed… As for the math program … We started with sm 65 days… But frustrated cos keep repeating with no good reasoning or understanding to the program tat we switched to GD math… GD math works great n ds enjoyed it a lot n built n strong foundation in math.

U had done alot with your gal! U r not working rite? I can only select wat I can afford to teach at home since I work. But I teach to bond with my ds so practice session of 1 hr daily mon to fri is always fun…

Thanks for the links u posted… Now tat I having second child soon … Hopefully can do the same as my ds or more…

                      Hi Dear,

I used to send my son to SM for 1 year, and I also find it very ex.
I have tried to DIY at home using some materials on the net.

But I find the closes to SM is http://www.rightbraineducationshop.com.
I am currently using their Shichida flash card material from this site.

Perhaps you could take a look at this website.

I find SM classes very good but lack materials. Their Tensei products are also very ex.

Do let me know what you think.

                        Hi Tamml,

I am currently sending my son Brandon to Shichida in Malaysia (Wisma Lim Foo Yong). Classes are GREAT!!

                        But,

the only problem is I have to get more Shichida flash cards to flash to my son.

So like yourself, I am using http://www.rightbraineducationshop.com as my resource.

They have thousands of flash cards, linking memory, all sorts of math flash cards like addition, subtraction, multiplication, multi dots, and mandala, and etc.

So far this is the BEST website so far I have found!!

After trying and buying others, rightbraineducationshop is the one for me.

Could anyone enlighten me about TweedleWink?

Are they actually right brain education?

Why are their flash cards flashed so slow.

I thought you need to flash fast to activate the right brain?

                        Thanks!! :?
