      Hi chloecube,

      I understand your feelings.
My son is just like yours...waiting for him to wake up one morning and see for himself that PSLE is just 3 months away. He didn't do well for CA1 and SA1...but i didnt scold him...just a very disappointed look. Hubby was very mad and even felt he couldn't go far. I hit the roof and was very angry with him instead   how could he, THE FATHER be so negative?
With the dates getting closer, I motivated and encouraged son to work very very hard. Did tell him that it will be tougher from now on but it is all worth it. Don't just dream about that secondary school but work damn hard to wear that uniform.
thks janet_lee88, i guess no one understand how we feel except for those parents in the same boat.
sometime i wonder if the method i use is wrong, did i push him to hard or shld i push further?
the results from other kids are all well above DS's. i am not expecting him to be top scorer or get all subjects for Band 1. i only hope for at least a 70 marks for all subjects at P4.
his math and science are alightly above 70, but english and chinese just pass.
i am really worried for him. he left with 2 yrs to prepare for the major exam.
i wish u all the best and your kid for this coming PSLE.
no matter what, we shld not give up on them.
trying to comfort myself that PSLE does not determine his life..

        Hi chloecube,

Don't worry about PSLE yet. You have next year to prepare.
Not every child is a bright spark. Mine is pure average, flunked Chinese twice this year. Not higher Chinese but standard one :faint:
When my son was in P4, he was managing just average. 80 for maths (highest), the rest were in 60-70 range.
I am still waiting for my son to 'wake up' one fine morning, hopefully soon before PSLE and give his best.

This June is no holiday…other than sleeping in later, it’s still very much like school madness. Tutors have changed timing bcos they are taking time off for holiday. They gave more homework and slotting in time to get tuition hw done is tough. The schedule has been changed at least 6x…son told me I am not saving environment as I kept changing and printing new ones.

If kids have right attitude and determined to excel, it will be all worth it.
