Alex Ong, 25, pushes elderly lady off the bus
-
I read his explanation on the outburst and I cannot help to feel even more angry that he is pushing his blame to his suffering from depression! So anyone who got depression can go around beating up people?
-
When you snap, you snap.
I feel he has a rage building up inside of him.
He might have been a victim of bullying, mistreated and rejected by others, suffer from low self esteem.
He chose someone who is unable to fight back just like he himself who was unable to fight back against the bullies.
Whatever his mental condition is, this guy needs help. And I mean long term counseling. -
When I got to know about this, my initial thoughts were -
Wah heng ar, it's not my mum. Same age as the old lady, I could not imagine how my mum could have been safe and good after being pushed and fallen off the bus like that. Having a mum of the same age, I definitely feel for the old lady and was glad that at least two of the commuters helped her.
The next thing that came into my mind was - wah, I need to do something so that my child doesn't end up like that.
Third thing, I feel sorry for the father for this man.
When I read his Explanation (see here http://singaporenewsalternative.blogspot.sg/2012/06/alex-ong-blames-job-stress-for-pushing.html), I thought he wrote very well. he knew how to organize his thoughts and put them into words. He explained things in an orderly manner.
I think he needs help although I very much prefer that he be locked up somewhere in buangkok so that all our mums or even dads are safe. Also, I feel sorry for his dad.
I do not buy his reasons for his behavior. He takes no blame for how he behaves and instead push it to his condition, his past and the society. As I always say, the lotus grows from the mud but they turn out very pure and beautiful (Lian hua yu wu ni er bu ran). -
The police should press the charges! With a stressful society and education system, who can guarantee that we won’t have another a**x o*g? Better kill a chicken to warn the all monkeys now.
-
The way he lambasted his previous employer publicly in his blog ........ Er that's a real dumb move. Now I wonder which potential employer will dare to touch him with a nine foot pole? Most likely he's gonna be jobless for an even longer period of time which will further fuel the sense of injustice he feels towards society. And who's fault is that?
The way he mentioned he wanted to 'take a knife to kill some Chinamen' reminded me of the mass killing in Norway. Seriously got problem.
Btw what's with the scarf anyway? Who would wear that in tropical S'pore with a sweltering temperature of mid 30s? :siao: -
@FQW
Maybe he was trying to create a new fashion statement XD -
think root of the problem is :-
(his attitude towards life perspectives + he badly need pyschiatric counselling asap - esp. about "holding a knife look for Chinamen" that part, counsel him on violence self control)
relatives of frail, elderly lady who fell down bus -
should also bring her hospital do an X ray. Elderly folks fall down no joke. Thank God the bus had stopped, when this happened. -
@LOLMum
But at all times, why must he snap at an old woman? He could snap some other time or something.
I mean, if he really needed to snap, he could’ve taken deep breaths or started squeezing those type of anti-stress balls.
As that lady in the black dress that helped the old lady said "Whatever you do, DO NOT PUSH AN OLD LADY LIKE THAT." -
When he said "take a knife to kill a chinaman", that’s just retarded cos he’s simply creating another problem while trying to "apologize".
When he tried to "apologize", he aggravated another group of PRC people.
Well, but I mean, PRC people did insult us Singaporeans before, but at least we don’t have such thoughts to take a knife to kill them…
I was reading the news the other day. A Taiwanese author called Singaporeans stupid, PRC people as unpredictable, Taiwanese people as blur and Hong Kong people as rude.
Oh, if that’s so, what is that filthy writer trying to say? He’s perfect? C’mon, nobody’s perfect. What an idiot! That Taiwanese author totally pissed me off.
The Taiwanese author ended with
"So I stayed in Taiwan. Because Taiwanese are all blur and gullible."
WTH?! He’s insulting the country he grew up in, that fed him, that nursed him into an author earning big bucks and now he’s biting the hand that fed him.
So says a Chinese phrase, 这种人就是忘恩负义。 -
