Maths Assessment Books

Hi,


Can anyone recommend good assessment books for P5 on percentage besides onsponge books? My ds needs much more practise on this topic.

Hi, just browsing through the past pages as I am consolidating what books to get with the 20% sale now…we have tried both Dawn Tai and Sandhya Challenging Maths for P1….after doing the Dawn Tai one (which can be really tedious even for a 1 mark kind of MCQ…), the Sundhaya one seems relatively less tedious to plough through….I was kind of surprised because I thought the 2nd one is the more challenging one. But apparently what we bought was the new syllabus one (I got it around end April..), so not sure if they have downgraded the level of ‘difficulty’…??

There is another one - ermmm I find the level of difficulty a bit higher - this is just my own experience with my DD2, P1 this year. I could not find the pic to upload here but have shared previously:-

It is not about which one is better. First you must find out what is the knowledge level of the child in terms of basic or advance. Then you explore which books can help to further assist the child. Always get the basic concept right first. Hope this helps.

seems like Simon Eio \"Step by Step\" more basic to start with.

LaughingCat is right. Get the foundations right first.

I bought EPH "Step by Step Maths", and then I progress them to EPH Challenging Maths or SAP Maths Olympiad.

PS…phtthp have you purchased your Test Your intelligence and Test Your Reasoning Books yet.

There is a book by Fabian Ng, "Math Without Tears" published by Longman. I checked with Popular but they don’t sell this book at any of their outlets. Does anyone know where to get and if anyone tried this book, pls share abt this book. Thanks

Hi! If the above book is no longer available in Popular Bookstore, perhaps you may like to call up the publisher Pearson Education, whether do they still publish it or if it is, then the location where you can get it.
