Today , I sent my P6 to the psle preparation class in the afternoon. And according to him, one of the boy in the class was reading some English books (Horribly Famous) while the teacher was talking/teaching.

If I am the parents I would be very sad to learn that. Wonder if I should kaypoh and let the parents know if I happen to see them, so that the rest of the 4 days are not wasted ?
How's the preparation class, is it good? I wanted to send my son there too but dw already signed him up for loads of activities over the holidays.

About the kid reading English books during Chinese class, it's quite awkward to breach the subject to the parent isn't it? I'll be interested to know what is the best way to do it. May come in handy in future too.

Yeah , i know, that's why i dont think i will say anything, dont want to be scolded for being kaypoh, though the intention was really 将心比心,i would feel heartache if i sent my son to classes, and then he is wasting his time, my money , my time (got to send and fetch).

Actually it happened before, my son read story book in a math tuition class, and he was \"kicked out\" from that class. The teacher just paid me back the remaining fee and said no need to come anymore, just when his SA2 about to start.

As to whether is the class good, i really cant tell. They did some oral and some multiple choice questions.

My son said is good , but i am not sure if i can trust what he said (he never said any class is no good). But he dont seem enthusiastic about the class, that i can tell, after all, chinese is his weakest subject.

But my P2 likes the reading class.

One thing good is that the class size is small, 5 to 6 students only.

Just me guess ..... your ds went to Perceptum in Bishan? Bcos I know that one of the T in Perceptum is known to be extremely strict.

Is Xue Lin suitable for students taking Higher Chinese? They do not have separate classes for normal and higher Chinese. Thanks.
