After tender is awarded, I will have to deliver what I have proposed at the price which I secured the tender. You mean I can go back to ask for more? I seriously do not think so. I remember there was once when after I got the deal, one of the components' price went up from our supplier. My boss was saying it was our fault not to secure the price of the component before tendering the bid. He said no way the government agency will be willing to pay for that. So ended up, eat into our profit. Luckily boss never deduct from my pay. Wahahaha...
Anyway, I remember reading reports from the Auditor's General Officers on some lapses in procurement in some government agencies? I believe they are the watch dog you are referring to.
But.. there is the dark side.. when there is some \"dealing\" between vendor and some boss...... then.... they ask for anything also can.. that was what my friend told me when his relative work in some \"company\" and shared with him the stories..
I wish to see more of such unethical practices exposed. Only by doing so can people like me who are working hard to secure deals be rewarded. I will be pissed if I lose out to competitors not because of my pricing and quality of goods but because they willing to go that \"extra\" mile. -

IMHO, she shd hv just support her hubby quietly w/o stating d obvious.
Personal lives ruined aside, his reputation is called into question,
for he has shown by dis incident dat he can be compromised.
He can no longer be entrusted to hold office in sensitive public jobs.
NBG PNG n CS said she has done no wrong.
Dis is not a case with a $ trail.
If NBG n CS continue to stand together,
how is prosecution going to prove its case?
Am quite surprised dat if wat is revealed publicly so far is all there is to it,
dat dis is not dealt quietly with PSD but dat NBG n AGC r prepared to fight dis case in open court. -

My reply to concern2 is dat there will always be some who r prepared to go d extra mile to clinch a deal.

I am not surprised Oracle do not sack her. I've heard from friends in the IT field (I was also in IT field last time) that a lot of these underhanded dealings are conducted with the managament being aware of it. And most likely if Oracle sacks her because of this it will just open more cans of worms.
Anyway, I think this is the first time Straits Times printed the picture of a woman in this kind of case right? Someone must have been very pissed and wanted to fix her. -

then it is a clear case of corruption.
d first 2 contracts were awarded to STE (IIRC), n not directly to HDS,
which was a subcon to STE; no $ trail;
private sexual ‘transactions’ between two individuals (fr their perspectives).
NBG probably thot he has all his bases covered,
but he overlooked CS biz rivals who got red eye.

This is why we must teach our kids that sometimes even if they do their best, they may still lose out to people who resort to dishonest methods. This is the harsh reality of the world. But we must also teach our kids that no matter what, they should not resort to such measures. Because at the end of the day they must be proud that even if they do not achieve the result, they can hold their heads up high and retain their conscience.
