How much would you pay for your child's enrichment courses?

Dear Parents,
The new term just started, many parents like me would be thinking and planning for the new challenges our kids for the new semester.
it's our nature that parents love their children more than anything anything elses. But how many of the parents here actually set aside $$$ for their children enrichment courses monthly?
What's your take ? How much would you think is 'enough'? :moneyflies: -
i spend about $700 a term for enrichment classes.

Average about $1400 to $1600 per term, depending on how many weeks there are in each term. Two of my child’s lessons are charged by the number of lessons for each term, so the fees varies a little each term.

Me too $700 per term. The fees will increase as child grows older.

Hmmm......have never really counted cos we just kinda added them along the way at different stages......but suddenly I'm :scared: :yikes: :faint:
On a monthly basis, academic (all subjects) + piano is approx $700.... x 2 kids = $1.5k :moneyflies:
Hopefully, after PSLE I can reduce some dependence...... -
$840 a month.
Berries, piano, swimming and one to one art lesson.

With 3 kids, $ flies without me even knowing. Each kid seems to need this and that, and can’t be helped! Used to pay almost 1.3k monthly. Now reduce to about $700.

Hehe. Ya. When I hit 4k per term for enrichment, I almost fainted! So cut cut cut. No choice. So now limit each kid to abt 200-300 per month.

I was just sort of surprised to know that parents are really spending alot on kids’ enrichment classes. Which is so much more than we spend on ourselves or even buying insurance. No doubt it’s a long term investment too. True enough as the kid gets older, the $$ on enrichment courses increased as well. Not easy to be a parent nowadays… That would also be a reason why the newly wedds are reluctant to have children…
