Visible Math - Discussion

Hi,
Anyone has feedback? Seems the teachers are ex Catholic High teachers? -
I have a friend whose kid (p6) is there. She said so far so good. Her kid is not going very well kind like scoring 50s and recently she had 60s for her paper. Still not very good but there is some improvement.
She joined at the start of the year. -
Thanks t_mother of swc, seems like not many have tried this centre. School hols coming to an end and I have not found suitable math centre for my kid. Headache!

Just received a brochure on this Visible Math Centre. Apparently one of the founders/teachers is the author of the Visible Thinking in Maths Series and some other Challenging/Conquer series, onsponge seriesโฆ
Looks pretty impressive.
However they only accept P3 and above. -
Hi Laurenwkids,
This centre is pretty new, in my opinion. At the same time, one of its founder has just quit his day job to teach in the centre. He used to spearhead the math curriculum in a certain primary sch and this sch uses its own resources for maths lessons. Does not use publishersโ textbooks. -
Thanks iLoveChubby and meiah! I went down to the centre to inquire and their teaching methods seem good and the teachers credentials are impressive. I am going to try them out for a term and see how they are.

I joined them less than a month ago but I find their teaching very clear and their teachers are willing to stay back to help the weaker kids. Their materials are also good, they are the ones doing the thinking math series. However, if you want materials that are quite difficult, then maybe this is not your cup of tea.
However, their materials help kids to understand prob sums much better.
