Happy Call Korean Frying Pan
-
Hi,
Anyone bought the happycall black edition pans & pot? It contains 3 frying pans & 1 pot.
Can share reviews?
TIA! -
I just got my ochre deeper pan.. delivery is reasonable, took about 7 days. 3 days for item to reach Singapore and release from customs.. but 4 working days for speedpost to deliver it to me (apparently, pantos hand it over to speedpost on reaching Singapore). Very disappointed with speedpost.. Singapore isn't that big right..
Dimension seems a little smaller than advertised.. Weight is 1600g.. ±2g.
All the \"signs\" like rivets, worksmanship, sticker etc checks out fine.. so should be genuine.. but wondering how come the weight is different from what is stated at the website (http://list.qoo10.com.sg/item/HAPPYCALL-NEW-HAPPY-CALL-DOUBLE/404413863?sellerview=on)..
Anyone weighted their ocher deeper pans can advise what is your weight? Thanks.. -

I had expected the pan to be heavier & was pleasantly surprised by the weight. I asked son to weigh it immediately upon opening (we were all so excited by the unexpectedly speedy delivery which really caught us by surprise). It’s such a compact pan yet can do wonders. No wonder my friend kept raving about it since getting it earlier in the year.

Actually… my concern/worry is whether it is the actual ocher pan (with 5 layer coating + orcher coating) or just a basic "deeper" pan…
because the basic deeper pan is 1.6kg. And they do have a basic "deeper pan" that is red in color. What if there’s another version of basic deeper pan that is brown in colour? in this case, the only way to tell them apart would be the weight difference… -
But overall.. indeed it is a very good equipment to have..
1. 2 pan design, no splattering of oil, easy cooking on both side of food.
2. Non-stick coating.
These 2 factors alone makes the cooking process much more enjoyable....
I wouldn't be surprised if it actually resulting in better cooking efficiency and less gas consumption.... the top pan actually traps the heat and re-distributes it. -
We love the thermal effect & how the meat turns out so tender. We use less of our Tiger Thermal pot since acquiring the HCP.

Just bought the basic red one from Carrefour. According to the instructions, we have to coat it with cooking oil over fire? I did that for a minute but as I flipped the pan, the oil leaked out from the hole. Does that mean when I do the actual cooking, sauce and oil will leak out too when I flip the pan?
