      Udon:
      Hi, small

      Can you help me on this also.....TKU

      Q1. 3 more than 6/7 of a number is 45. What is the number?
      Can i try to answer yr question šŸ™‚

      Concept 1:
      3 more than 6/7 of a number is 45
      means 6/7 of the number is 45- 3= 42.

      Concept 2:
      6 units = 42
      1 unit = 7
      7 units = 49

      Therefore the number is 49.

      Hope u can understand the solution.

              Hi
              use grouping concept...

              Put 3 x $1 and 1x $0.50 in a packet --> total value in 1 packet = $3.50
              $171.50 / $3.50 = 49 packets
              there is 1 x 50 cents coin in each packet,
              number of fifty cents coins --> 49

              cheers.

                  Please help

                  Jewel bought some strawberries and wanted toput them into boxes. If she put 4 strawberries into each box, there would be 3 strawberries left. If she put 6 strwaberries into each box,she would have 5 strawberries left.

                  A) if the number of strawberries was between 100 and 150, how many many strawberries did Jewel buy?

                  B) Jewel decided to put all the strawberries equally into bags of 16. Find the min. Number of bags that she would need.

                    Hi

                    there are multiple answers for the question.

                    4 strawberries/box, 3 strawberries left --> short of 1 to make 4,
                    6 strawberries/box, 5 strawberries left --> short of 1 to make 6.
                    By adding 1 more strawberry to the total number, the new total can be packed into boxes of 4 and boxes of 6 exactly.

                    Lowest common multiple of 4 & 6 in the range of 100 to 150 --> 108, 120, 132, 144
                    So, possible number of strawberries --> 107, 119, 131, 143

                    number of bags needed for bags of 16 --> 7, 8, 9, 9

                    cheers.

                        Hi guys, pls help me solve the following 3 ques without using algebra method. Ty in adv.

                        1) The figure is made up of two circles P & Q. The ratio of the area of Circle P to the area of Circle Q is 3:2. The shaded part is 5/8 of Circle Q. What is the ratio of the unshaded area of the figure to the area of the figure? ( Circle P is bigger than Circle Q and they intersect each other in between which is 5/8. )

                        2) Miss Ling spent 5/9 of her money on 10 stuffed bears and 5 dolls. She could buy 20 stuffed bears with the rest of her money. What was the ratio of the cost of a doll to the cost of a stuffed Bear?

                        3) Wendy and Kelly had $128 altogether. Wendy spent 1/2 of her money on a blouse while Kelly spent 2/5 of her money on a dress. The dress cost $8 more than the blouse. How much money did Wendy have at first?
