Just some suggestion - JMHO - do have a back-up plan for Phase 2C Supplementary in any case Take into consideration factors like travelling time (school bus; public transport when kid gets into upper level there will be supplementary classes, CCA, extra activities etc.).

- Rulang
- Shuqun

ii) four schools found located within 1 to 2 km (inside Red zone) are:-

- Jurong

iii) other schools are > 2km (outside Red zone), like :-
Pioneer, Xingnan, Frontier, Jurong West, West Grove, Westwood, Yuhua, etc.

2011 phase 2C
schools that required balloting are:-
Rulang, Shuqun, Frontier, West Grove. The rest no need to ballot under phase 2C, just walk in straight.

as you stay < 1km from Rulang, can try your luck!
if selected, Congratulations !
if not, head for 2C Supp.

this year 2012 registration for 2013 P1: SC given priority over PR - results vary.

In there, you told her that she had a slim chance with Rulang because she stayed 1.5 km from Rulang. Maybe she should check her distance from the schools instead of listing down ALL the schools in her area. :scratchhead:

Since we are 'here' to discuss, don't think anyone is kpo. We all want the best for our kids...especially mums. All the best in P1 registration. I fully understand the jitters. In any case, all the best. Even if you do not get to register the child in preferred school, it could also be a blessing in disguise.

both mummy of 3 and phtthp have given you a good analysis and suggestion for the upcoming P1 registration :celebrate:

Just to add on my 2 cents worth of opinion - do consider the distance and travelling time when you are choosing the back-up plan for the kid. I am not suggesting which school is good, better or best in term of preference (academic result etc.).

From your place to travel to Xingnan Pri @ JW ST. 91, travelling by car will take less than 10 mins. But when your kid goes up to upper primary, he/she will need to stay back CCA, supplementary lessons, school activities then there will be time that he/she will have to travel via the public bus.

The only bus that ply between your place and Xingnan Pri is bus No. 99 - board at bus stop in front of Blk 457.

But the above will not be an affecting factor if you have someone or yourself to fetch/send your child
