CCA listing can be found on the school website. DS is taking floorball this year. External coach is engaged, if I'm not wrong. Teachers and environment are ok. P1 class is mixed ability, so I can't comment / demand much.
If I don't inform the school when DS is absent from school, the school admin will call to check on that day itself. Not sure whether this is the practice of other schools. Initially, I did feel \"stress\"....
The question on whether children can cope with afternoon class depends very much on individual child. DS quits napping since very young, doesn't wake up \"very\" early . So, he fits into afternoon session well.
As the weather has been very hot towards the end of Term 2, the school is very kind to allow children to wear PE attire to school, even on non-PE days. Not sure it still applies for Term 3. Think girls may feel hot in their uniforms.
Anyway, think Keming will be in single session from 2014. An annex block is being built currently. -
2011 phase 2C
Bukit Batok:
Keming, Princess Elizabeth, St Anthony required balloting.

Looking at it another way, this is a good thing.

It shows that the school is concern, and wants to make sure nothing happened to the student while he was on his way to school. -

hi, i am enrolling my kid for Pr 1 next yr and wondering if anybody know if dazhong primary/ princess elizabeth/st anthony is good?
I am enrolling my daughter for Pr1 next year and we are in 1km from Dazhong, Linhua and st Anthony. As we are not catholic I am more interested in Dazhong and Linhua, but have found very few info on those 2 schools on the forum. Has anyone some experience with those school to share?
Hi Chou Chou,
I am considering SAP and Dazhong for DS. but SAP has no open house and not much info. And we are also not Catholic.
Anyone can share any insights for these 2 schools? -
Have visited the schools and discovered St Anthony teachers are good. They have a good feel of the concerns by parents. But the Principal appears to be aloof and non service oriented, bordering on the arrogant type. Not sure why, but it does seem that most of the principals are generally very stuck up.

Wow! You managed to visit the school and talked to the teachers? How did you get pass the security? I thought nowadays school security is quite tight. -

Hi Sunshine05, thanks alot on your feedback. It's really useful. How you find the teacher and principal in Keming? Are the caring and responsible? Do they give you very regular feedback on your son?
I visited Keming and it's BASC. It seems so pathetic for the kids to stay in the classroom the whole day (from BASC to the afternoon proper lesson). I wonder if I am one of them, can I take it??!!
I'm glad to hear that they are moving to a single session in 2014.
I feel that Keming's CCA is pretty limited. It seems to me that they are more academic focus? Do they have a strong Malay culture in the school? The reason I ask is because I read that they even give free Malay language enrichment to non-Malay during the school holiday. Is that true?
I'm actually very surprise that Keming intake is lower than Princess Elizabeth since especially they are expanding the school compound.
Princess Elizabeth is within 1-2km for my case, I would think the chance is lower than Keming (which is < 1km). Which school (PEPS or KPS) is better?
I was recommended to try Faifield Methodist Primary School for my DD. Comparing FMPS and KPS, which is better?
