Am totally bushed…….let me continue my story:Hi ksks3mum, I guess you might need a agent there to help you up or some one familiar with the new rulings to help you. I have gave up to import my new maid over myself, instead I engage this agent who is an indonesian herself to settle everything for me. She travels to Indonesia frequently so she said she is meeting up with my maid to guide her how to come direct next month. You may want to ask my agent help you up if she is happened to be there.

My maid currently back Yogyakarta on home leave. At the changi airport, was told need the contract. My DH rushed back n get it but my maid went inside and flew off. We thought since can went thru so no problem. Last week went return, she was rejected by custom from Jakarta being w/o KTKLN pass. I have couriered last week the working contract and airticket to her suppose to reach yesterday but till now the OCS courier cannot tell me why is not delivered. I purchased Thursday Airasia 1 way ticket to Sin. Now as i read if salary less than $400 will not be issued with KTKLN am going crazy..........cos her salary only $380. Am totally confused and exhuasted. I unable to communicate to my maid as she stayed 4 hrs away in Yogokarta. The phone line is very bad there. I have a colleagues to help communicating with her there but it is just too much trouble..........how?? really regretted to let her back for home leave!!!
Couriered airticket + contracts, procedures/instruction for KTKLN card after reading post here. Courier Co promised deliver in 3 days after I faxed them the consignee add. Delivery should arrive 18/6 mon. I tracked docs arrived jkt on 14/6 & but till tue19/6 Courier informed not under their coverage. I forced & pressed sin/jkt Courier office by hook or by crook must hand doc to consignee by wed as her flight is on Thursday morning. (mean while my colleagues in jkt contacted my maid and understand that she do has the KTKLN card – so am thinking why she was rejected at the Jkt custom – it could be officer asked for contract but don’t have, demanded for coffee ***ey but she unable to pay- am not sure) Anyway, after tons of emailing and coordination, finally courier co. decided to meet consignee somewhere pick it up. My maid travelled 2 hrs to pick the docs and she phoned my hubby informed us she has the docs yesterday noon time. In the evening, my hubby called her reminded her 07:35 flight and must reach airport 05:35. I too wrote the instructions for her in the airticket itinerary.
Today my hubby waited in the airport for 1 hr, no sign of her. I called the airline, she did not board the plane. CAN YOU ALL Imaging how fuming I am? After all the ding dong here and there.
Am not contacting her any more but have my colleagues speaking same language to check what’s her issue. And am tuning my mind to go w/o maid after 2 weeks that turning 1 month and now forever……….. oh my 2 luggage that I loan her
, my $$$ wasted on the airtickets

Anyone know what strict rules? My maid called this morning and again said something stopped by custom and line went death again. She has the KTKLN card, her IC, employer/employee contract stamped by embassy/airticket - what’s the problem? She was stopped the second time… anyone send maid back for home leave better think twice.

Maid agencies in Singapore will now have to apply online for employment contracts for Indonesian foreign domestic workers with the country’s embassy.
The change takes effect on Wednesday.
The new online system will help the embassy compile data and track the domestic workers from the time they leave Indonesia for Singapore.
The Indonesian embassy held a briefing for employment agencies on Wednesday to explain the changes.
In the past, the embassy said it does not have full information of all its domestic workers in Singapore.
This is because the data was just shared between employment agencies in Indonesia and Singapore.
Now, both Indonesia and Singapore employment agencies must key in the necessary data into the online system.
The embassy said having such information will help it safeguard the welfare of its citizens.
Sukmo Yuwono, counsellor, Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, said: "Based on all that data, I’m very confident it will give protection in the beginning when the Indonesian domestic helper has problems in Singapore.
"Because if I have a call from the police, for example, if I don’t have any data, I have to find out by myself. I need to search through Indonesia, search all the agencies… but if they are already keyed in to our system, I will just find out from the system."
Employment agencies said the online process may be more tedious.
This is because even after the online process, agencies have to print out the Employment Contract and submit it to the embassy for endorsement. Agencies then need to send the Employment Contract to their counterparts in Indonesia.
This new system is also expected to put a stop to the practice of some employers who hire maids directly from Indonesia.
K Jayaprema, president, Association of Employment Agencies, said: "So we are looking at more business for the local employment agencies because it looks like only the accredited agencies with the Indonesian embassy will be able to download the employment contract.
"So definitely employers have to go to a local agency to help them with this contract. And it’s not going to just stop with new girls coming in, I think it’s also for renewal, also for the transfer of girls."
The Indonesian government said it wants to stop sending domestic workers abroad as of 2017. It wants to provide comprehensive training so that workers are ready to enter more competitive industries. Stricter requirements may also be applied by 2017.
"But it’s something we have to wait and see how effective this is going to be because definitely, they see anybody working overseas as a better source of income. So unless they are able to earn equally good salaries, I don’t think the ban is going to work," said K Jayaprema, president, Association of Employment Agencies.
The Indonesian government had previously imposed a moratorium on sending migrant workers to Saudi Arabia due to the implementation of the death penalty on a number of Indonesian workers there.
So troublesome to hire Indonesians, more money to come out from employer’s pocket… do you think we should stop being easy targets …to be bullied? Malaysia and Saudi paid lesser for FDWs and their living condition not as good as Spore … are Spore employers too soft? How to make our govt protect us?
Should we stay clear from hiring Indonesians… at least a year? -
That’s exactly I said I gave up doing the direct hire by myself after knowing that too much troubles to go through and the Government wants that employment agreement issued by the maid agency. So I engaged the agent to do the work. And I called many other agencies before I found this. most agencies are not willing to do direct hiring for me or they charge a high price. Does anyone know how to claim the levey from MOM when maid return for home leave. What are the necessary procedures? -

My maid return on home leave recently and she tried to apply KTKLN card at Yogjar office which cost only IDR18K but she can't cause she didnt have the employment letter with her? When returing to SG at YOG airport, the customs officer ask the maids how many years they work in SG then ask them to pay accordingly- my maid wk for 9yrs and had to pay SGD200.
Anyone can share is it true if the maid make the KTKLN card using IDR18K with documents then no need to pay any $$ at the airport returning to S'pore? Thks -
My maid did her KTKLN at Semerang airport nearby during the Hari Raya period, I think about S$100. She came back successfully, need to show passport, valid Spore work permit, employment contract from Indonesian Embassy in Spore

Hi,
I'm sending my indo helper back to Indonesia this February for 2 weeks. She will be coming back to continue her contract. Sending her back before the 2 years contract ends as I needed her to be around when I give birth. Her contract, work permit and KTKLN card will only expire in June 2013.
Do I need any documents for her to go back Indonesia & come back to Singapore smoothly? I'm so scared reading through the forum that helpers get stuck at the customs.
I am also confused about the home leave. It seemed that home leave is no longer needed in Indonesian Embassy.
