The issue with CHC was that the church was quite strict in enforcing this 10% rule. Although yes technically it is voluntary, if you are in a CG, if you late or do not pay your tithe, there is emotional repercussions from your leaders and members if you get what I mean.

This is emotional blackmail. Hope more people can see through their real intention NOW!
For any religious groups that put so much emphasis on money and\"prosperity\", better get out ASAP.

Unlikely since CAD normally will not attempt this kind of high profile case without sufficient evidence. And from the COC press release, it seems that they have plenty of evidence to back up their case i.e. a slam dunk. CAD would not publicise such a high profile case like this unless they are very sure of the outcome, they also don't want to lose face mah. Even if somehow Kong Hee and his posse could get out of this case unscathed, the damage is already done.

Using pop, non religious music to attract more members, regardless which religion, is something I cannot accept. In fact, i would feel there is a misleading concept, especially to the young teens. It is more of individualism than pure religion.

Rule number 1 in politics (and preaching :evil: ), always appeal to people's emotions, not their common sense. This is a tactic that Tan Jee Say employed very well in the last presidential election.
