Whether it is alright to use the church’s funds to finance the crossover project is another issue altogether. The fact that the accounts are falstified and some actions were taken to cover up reveal that people in the act know that it is not right to use the funds. If it is right, why need to alter the accounts and take extra steps to cover up? Wonder who is their auditor and how is the auditor implicated in this case.

Only the culprits know what exactly is going on. They can justify until the cows come home. This thread can extend another 100 pages…
only God knows what is going on. The law of Karma takes over. -

Quite impossible to expect auditors that spent that few days checking the books to spot issue when there are multiple parties collaborating. The stories will match, there will be \"check and balance\", multiple signatories, minutes of meetings, etc etc to cover the tracks. -

I was from CHC. I left about a year ago because my wife wanted us to be in the same church. Until now, my leader in CHC keeps in contact with me. They do not treat us like outcast because we have left. I would say that the people in CHC are not blind followers of Pastor Kong. We have seen how much he and his wife has impacted lives, and how the cross over project has built orphanages and done a lot of good.
I myself benefitted a lot from his teachings. Sometimes, we are quick to judge and 'celebrate' the bad news but nobody wants to hear all the good that is done and remember. Even if people say I am stupid to believe in him and to stand for him if he is guilty, I will do that. I cannot forget all the good that this couple has done.
So if I collect $10 donation from you the name of helping the needy, pocket $5 and use the remaining $5 to help the needy then I am doing good in your view? And you will stand by me? :scratchhead: -

I agree that the auditors are unlikely to reveal anything...I am just amazed at the elaborated and coordinated actions taken to fabricate bonds investment, redemption of bonds, transfering of funds, etc....sound rather sophisticated and massive to me.

Read from XinMin that the Crossover Project started in year 2002. KH was being called in for investigation in year 2010. 8 years for them to refine the accounts .. I say it would take an eagle eye to dig out any discrepancies.alng:

There r a few, but I think d relevant verse u seek is Leviticus 27:30-34:
Which verse and book in the Old Testament talks about tithing. I am curious and want to read more about it.
Quote \"30 And qall the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord. 31 If a man wants at all to redeem any of his tithes, he shall add one-fifth to it. 32 And concerning the tithe of the herd or the flock, of whatever spasses under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the Lord. 33 He shall not inquire whether it is good or bad, tnor shall he exchange it; and if he exchanges it at all, then both it and the one exchanged for it shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.’ ”
34 These are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel on Mount Sinai.\" -

I do not agree with you. I was from CHC and a ML there (equivalent of CGL)long time ago and has witnessed many good things there done by the ministries and also Kong Hee and Sun Ho. But one particular incident triggered a strong questioning on my part and made me leave the church (yes, it's related to Sun Ho's first CD launch).I was from CHC. I left about a year ago because my wife wanted us to be in the same church. Until now, my leader in CHC keeps in contact with me. They do not treat us like outcast because we have left. I would say that the people in CHC are not blind followers of Pastor Kong. Now don't get me wrong, I do not hate Kong Hee and people from CHC. As a Christian, we are supposed to love all our brethren. But that does not mean we should turn a blind eye to sin. If let's say my son beat up another child, I will not defend him and insist on him to make apology to the other child. Beside that particular incident, remember the plagiarising incident? Did Kong Hee apologise? He even tried to bluff his way out of it. He has showed repeated unrepentance. He could have set a good example as a good shepherd and ask for forgiveness, which I am sure everyone will be fine with. But yet, despite this, many people in CHC still believe in him despite this. This is what saddens me. Love your leaders and pastors, but acknowledge their mistakes and shortcomings and stand up for their wrongdoings. -
High paying easy jobs are so difficult to find nowaday.
I might as well start a charitable christian organisation, do some "charitable work" like opening orphanages in rural areas of china, myanmar etc…Then pay myself 20K a month…I can still use the money in the fund to pay for my luxurious hotel stay in different countries in the name of preaching in those countries…then I can still groom a flock of sheeps that only see me doing good charitable works but don’t see me getting the high pay and enjoying my life. My job is just my habit for proselytising and it is quite an enjoyable job. -

I read SH did OK for d first five years. It was only when her music career stalled fr 2007 onwards dat d inner circle allegedly moved $ to support her.

Regardless, it wld take a fine comb n time to suss out d details n any discrepancies if someone has deliberately cook d books.
