You mean he would be like an exile, can never return home or face prosecution? Is it worth the while?

Not entirely a free man, so to say, cannot represent their company to visit/deal in Singapore, cannot buy a property in Sentosa Cove....hehe, well, well, they prob have more choices than WE have..

concern2, if there is no policy on stopping the renouncing of PR before enlistment in the 2 links, then it can be inferred that it has not been implemented yet.

Can't the relevant authority consider case-by-case basis whereby those people have never enjoyed any benefits from Singapore? Can they be consider permanent defaulters when they had left Singapore since birth?

'happy to be in limbo' = happy to be neither here nor there wrt citizenship / certain country (home country) cannot go -- sure got arrested as a defalter
