does it mean if stay within X kilometers from school, then no need to do volunteer work?

It all depends on you. A school may not have balloting in P2B for those in the, for instance, < 1 km category but balloting may be required in P2C for the same distance group. So, if you \"die die\" want to get your child into this school, isn't it better to be a PV, since your child is guaranteed a place in P2B, rather than go through balloting in P2C?

At the end of the day, it depends on how much you want your child to get into the school.

Ok, that makes sense. i forgot P2C will include a bigger cohort especially in densely populated area. I’m planning to shift out of mil place and while looking out for new home, also checked out some potential schools. Some have closed PV, some still takes in…so wondering what are my chances if I happens to find <1km to a popular school that needs balloting at P2B. Well, I get the ans now…go for the one that still take PV, can’t get away…sigh

            Hi,

Out of curiosity, are there still popular schools out there taking in applications for PV for kids born in 2007? I know 2008 is still open.

            Thanks.

For parents that has volunteer as Traffic Controllers, how many times do you do per week? If PV were to do once per week, enough to clock the 40hrs by the June 2013, if has started now?

Do parents want to volunteer at \"not famous schools\"? 🤷

Frontier had to go through balloting for those within 1 km. So, Frontier considered \"not famous\"?

Or, is this a case of fame not equal to popularity? :scratchhead:

Hi mummy of 3, with this year’s priority given to SC, those staying within 1km still need to ballot?

Hi qms, yes i have difficult decision to make. If i can get into Frontier with very high chance, i would volunteer as i do not wish to relocate even though i have 100% chance at Rosyth (my hubby is old boy). I am staying very close to my mum right now. If Frontier needs to ballot for SC < 1km and chances are much lower, i will have no choice but to relocate to Serangoon.
