2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

got a question... if my hub is from a good sch, but he didn't complete his 6yrs and got transfer to another neighbourhood sch...will i be still allowed to register under phases 2A2 or i have to try under phase 2B?

Pray that your DH still has his report book, or some form of documentation that proved he once was a student at the good school.

If he does, then yes, you can register under 2A2.

Gosh! I almost fall off my chair when I saw this topic! But again, although its another 2 more years, we must start planning. In fact some schools already closed their PV application. But lucky, I managed to sign up on the last day. Phew. Now just hope that I will be selected for PVing.

Friend wish to register her dd in her alma mater, but due to numerous overseas relocation and moving house, she has misplace her old report book. Cannot find any supporting documentation either. Is there any chance that the school may be able to trace her records so that her dd can apply under 2A2? It is a school with relatively long history.

my friend also encounter same headache, as your friend !

my friend ex school was School A, primary 1 (197x). She lost report card in the midst of shifting houses more than once, > 30 years ago. She also don't have any photograph of herself studying in that school, as supporting evidence.

She contacted MOE Historical Archived department, for past years tracing: for her name and class. MOE Archived department searched high & low under School A past archived records very thoroughly - but couldn't find her name anywhere. Hope was dashed! My friend felt miserable & disappointed.

Next, she approached School B (the other school she was transfered to).
School B itself didn't keep past records so long a few decades back, > 30 years ago. But B Principal advised her: pls check archived records thoroughly again. My friend prayed hard. Off to MOE she went back again. A few days later, she received happy news from a phone call. Yes! at last MOE had found her name & P1 class, under School B archived records with a statement written / recorded inside that - she had transferred in from School A with very good grades in P1, into School B.

MOE agreed to help write her a letter, to produce as evidence to Principal A that indeed, she had studied there before. Now, Principal A agreed to let her child enrol under phase 2A(2), forthcoming.

Thus, kindly advise your friend:-
approach MOE to dig out past archived records from BOTH schools.
ie. from both the (Original school (School A) + Transfered school (School B)). Not just from the Original school alone.
