I was greeted by dates of the summative assessment for Term 3 today :nailbite: first test is on 18/7 and it is comprehension MCQ/OE.

Luckily Eng spelling is only for 6 weeks. Somehow, I just can't seem to get used to having tests every 8-9 weeks.

I'm consider this school for my girl , may I know what time the school start and end for morning session? Is there only one session or both?

Single session.
School starts at 730am. Ends at 130pm Mon-Wed, Thur/Fri school ends at 1pm.

What time does the child have to be in in school by?

If coming in by car, what is the latest time that the school still allows cars in?

Yes, daughter in P2 has LC (CL) on 1 aug, writing (CL) on 3 aug.
The rest of the dates i cannot remember. The only dates in my mind are PSLE dates :roll:

i do apologize if this has been raised before and seek for kindness in your replies.

I believed that my daughter, whom baptised as Catholic already, is eligible for Phase 2B for CHIJ Toa Payoh. However, we are staying more than 2km away from the school.

Does anyone from past experience share the possibility of getting enroll in this school? or does my daughter needs to be in the balloting category?

Went through the balloting exercise yesterday and I am thankful that we were successful. It was really a nerve wrecking exercise!


Hi dfstan, based on this year’s P1 registration situation, it seems those staying more than 2 km have no chance at all. If I am not wrong, there was balloting for those staying between 1 km and 2 km in Phase 2B this year.

Hi mitr_sg, no after school care at CHIJ itself. I am placing my daughter at Pro-Teach which is located at Toa Payoh Central CC. Another student care in Toa Payoh area is Jessin which you may want to consider.
