No, used to do twice a week, but may consider everyday since I would need to be at the school by 730 anyway to drop the kids!

I would say start small - maybe recess duties initially once or twice a week. Swimming you can opt for when your son is doing it, should be term 3 (term 2 will be 1/1 to 1/4), and for field trips, do the ones your son will be in. This is what I have observed the other parents to be doing...

hmm…might just do that…since will have to fetch him after the trips and swimming lessons…seems like quite a number of parents interested in Pv…

Really! When I was given the form by a PV, I saw that the booth was manned by a parent I know from my PV time. She said I didn't need to fill it up, so I just left from there. I would have become a PV if I was not one already. This gives us a chance to see the teachers in a different environment and can help us talk to them about our kids I guess. I for one learnt quite a bit about the school, teachers and their environment in my stint in the last 1.5 years.

Yup! And working together with the teachers and the school, we can do the best we can for our children!

                    Hi everyone,

I was wondering how much pocket money are you planning to give your kids when they start school? I was thinking of $1 per day everyday and $2 on the Tuesdays when they have to stay back in school for CCA. What do you think? Is it too much, too little? Would love to hear what everyone has to say?

U didnt opt for the food voucher for ur child ? I have, so in the meantime i dont have to give him any pocketmoney yet. At the same time, i'll check the prices of the food in the canteen before deciding how much to give my boy.
                      😄

No, I didn't. Since the school does not have a vegetarian stall, and since we are vegetarians, I plan to give them food from home daily. The pocket money is for any drinks and other expenses....
