If I have S$1m in cash, I would move to Indonesia, so I will become a billionaire with about 6.4 billion rupiahs there 😄

I will put it in the bank as foreign currency FD. In the mean time, look for other options and weigh the pros and cons before I show hand that $1mil.

seriously foreign currency FD ? it will depreciate in no time and whatever interest arbitrage you get will not be enough to compensate the exchange loss

go read about 'interest rate parity'

$1 million?! I think everyone here at some point have tot abt this…But in sg, 1 million also like nothing like that. U need millions to really be a millionaire. My life wouldn’t change much, I will still go to work. But I will park all the money and collect money from the interest rate given. So each month, got more money to live while having the 1 million as rainy day fund.
