Not all the time. But every week during offering/tithing/donation time, either he or one of the other pastors would exhort the members to give to receive 'manifold blessings'. This would often also be accompanied with a 'testimony' from a member describing how God has blessed him/her financially after giving sacrificially e.g. I downgraded my house to contribute to the building fund last year and God has blessed me with enough my now to buy a Condo.
This is how it worked last time when CHC was in Hollywood Theatre and Jurong West Building. I have not been following their services for almost 8 years+ already, so I do not know how often Kong Hee emphasized giving now. Maybe N.Lo. could explain since he just changed from CHC last year? -

JS was a very popular tele-evangelist in US.
He was very gud at wat he does.
Was there in d US when his sex scandal broke.
He cried on TV begging for forgiveness.
He was in turn exposed AFTER his 'victim', another preacher he exposed retaliated in a sting ops as reported at dat time.

This is an area I feel even a lot of churches are being misguided besides the so called 'Prosperity Teaching'. There is an alarming increase in churches who dilute God's teaching in this matter.

can't be the non-Christians, who do not know Jesus.

Everyone could quote religious teachings to put across their point or belief. As it is a contentious issue, it is best to leave out such doctrinal sparring, especially putting across so strongly. Better to get back to the main thread about KH and his gang.
No offense to you, No Kidding. But when you are engaging non believers, you should not just quote bible verses without explaining their contexts. If this is the case, pastors should just read bibles in church sermons every weekend.No Kidding:
By limiting myself to quoting the Bible, I'm letting the Bible speak for itself on this issue because it does it far more eloquently than I do or can.
Even if I do not post it, you can still see exactly the SAME verses in the Bible anywhere addressing this issue. -

Don't be sad, if you are still very keen in charitable work or donate to charity or you would like your children a good place to pick up some good value system, Tzu Chi Foundation is definitely a good place. Was started by a Taiwanese Buddhist nun. Is presently the largest NGO in the chinese speaking world. You know George Yeo? His son had leukemia and it was through Tzu Chi foundation that they found a matching bone marrow for his son for transplant.He visited the Taiwan main foundation with his families to thank them last year. They have one of the world largest bone marrow genetic data base. They boast one of the most advance charitable hospital in taiwan with many branches.....and many many...read the wiki yourselves or visit their branch in Singapore which has 20,000 membership presently.
the nuns that work in the foundation do not draw any salary. The make a living stipend for themselves by making handmade handicrafts for sale.
Volunteers are even allowed to use, even a drop of glue that belong to the charity, for their own envelope. That is possible if that person buy a new bottle to replace the used bottle. You see how high the standard they demand.

I think it is necessary to hv preachers who are bold enough to speak up against doctrine error especially done by famous preachers as famous preachers tends to hv followers that would believe everything they say.. Like some ppl said, need to hv check n balance
