It all depends on your preferences and ingrained beliefs, that if you surmise that a top school will guarantee your child success in their future. I must say that primary schools are not that paramount, it is the child’s effort that matters. As long as my child gets into the top cohort of his school (a not so prominent school), I am proud of him. You all have to let go of this unduly stress and go with the flow.

        Hi ichunleo

Besides distance, is there any other reason why you would choose nan chiau? Its good to know what one prefer and doesnt.

well, imho, i think it has both pri and sec sch and a good established chinese culture which i like which is similar to catholic. 😄

But both NC pri and high schs are not affiliated.

Appreciate some advise between NanHua PS and Nanyang PS, both scored equally good on academics but hope to hear more feedback.

My home distance to NHPS is within 1km whereas abt 4km to NYPS but we will send/fetch our child to school daily. Thanks.

If you are fetching your child, Go for Nanyang.. But Nanyang is a very highly sought after school unless one of the parent was x student or PV.. If you go for 2C, my guess is no chance at all because you are 4 km to the school. Hope my 5 cent advise help. Go read up the parent network forum for the 2 schools to know more about the schools.

Balloting takes place for those who stay within 1km of nanyang. Since you stay within 1 km of nan hua, go for it.

Hi I am new to this forum. Can anyone tell me more about Marymount Convent and CHIJ Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC)?

I was a former student of OLGC so my DD can get into OLGC at Phase 2A(2) but her chances of getting into Marymount at Phase 2C may not be too low either so I can’t decide which of the 2 schools to register her in.

                Any opinions/comments?

                  Hi anytanz,

Work pressure is driving many crazy. It's worst if both husband and wife work. After long day in office, still have to coach kids in their schoolwork and THAT is no walk in the park any longer.

                  1) Register for P1 is first stress.
                  2) After that, making sure child is ready for P1.
                  3) School starts, child brings home work that dinosaurs like me don't comprehend.
                  4) parents pull their hair out trying to get kids to understand.
                  The list goes on...
yes, i can only imagine when my turn comes! :yikes:

                    I will register under P2B.
NYPS P1 end of Day1 is only 132, if no major changes in P2A1 and 2 compared to previous years, then I believe those staying more than 2km stands pretty good chance as well.
NHPS have student care so most probably go for NH.
Tired of 3boys in the house during daytime.
