        phtthp:
if you notice, not all schools post the \"% of quality passes\" on their school website, nor average T-score. some post, some don't (totally leave out), others give vague idea only (example: give only overall passes - so vague that as good as not posting anything).

usually the detailed info are found in P6 parents briefing slides (if they are not posted on their school website). however, some school only flash for a short while quickly during P6 parents briefing session, after that quietly remove those few important slides. (sssh). shouldn't behave like that this way ... whether the school's overall psle score good or yet to improve, all parents are eager to know.
        :goodpost:

MOE does not want parents to focus only on academic performances when choosing schools. They want every school to be a good school. MOE's definition \"A good school is one which adds value, in a holistic manner, to the students who pass through its doors. A good school is one which is concerned not just with preparing their students for the next examinations, but wants to know what happens to their students long after that.\"

        I applaud this vision.

Ironically, like what you have noticed, by not having a standard in publishing PSLE performances, academic-strong schools can continue to emphasise their academic achievements while parents might not be aware of value-added schools except via word-of-mouth or occasional media reports.

SCGS churn out impressive 2011 psle results! Applaud!
Her Chinese beat some SAP schools - although she did not start Higher Chinese from P1, but at a much higher level. Kudos to the hardworking Chinese teachers in school who motivate the girls to develop keen interest in Chinese, plus loving parental support at home. Need 2 hands to clap. 🙂 Indeed, it is heartening to see more non SAP schools excel in Chinese.

although SCGS is only mainstream, yet her average / mean score is very close to the mean score of some GEP centres.

for the new IP 2013 direct take off flight to A level - there are excellent joint collaboration plans tied up with NUS \"Yong Loo Lin\" Medical school, to enable selective SCGS pupils strong in Science to be attached there work on projects. The school has very high expectation of SCGS girls.

            http://medicine.nus.edu.sg/corporate/youare_undergraduate.html

from 2017 - SCGS burning aspiration to be one of the top 5 Junior colleges, if not top 3 strategically poised, beats with the same heartbeat in unison together with fiery ambition from St Nick and Catholic High Sec.

on leadership aspect - SCGS Sec groom the articulate & confident girls from \"a face in the crowd\" to become \"the face that addresses the crowd\".

the school will conduct talk on 2013 IP programme for public, at SCGS Open House held on 19 May 2012 (Saturday).
