hmm, understand that concept, but if the container has liquid in it (which already takes up some space?) as in question 1, then does it not mean that the physical volume to accomodate the air is compromised? AS such for question 1, why is it that container A is still able to hold 100 cm3 of oxygen if the total Capacity of the container is 120cm3 and it already has 50 cm3 of water in it?
The remaining capacity of Container A is 70cm3. 100cm3 going in means that the Oxygen will be compressed within the 70cm3.
In fact, the A probably already has 70cm3 of Air inside...then add 100cm3 of oxygen...the vol of gas mixture remains at 70cm3 -

This is incorrect - as the young of the mealworm bettle is known as larva (wriggler) it does not resemble that of the adult mealworm bettle.
