Blessedwife:
If I cannot get in under 2c I am looking at Clementi pri or Qifa pri. Can help to adv which school is better and what are my chances for these 2 schools?
How far is your house from these two schools? -
Scary:
If you are out of 1km of the school, pls call up the school and check in the afternoon of the last day of registration. Heard for SJI Jnr last yr, at the 11th hr, a few parents within 1km registered and caused those 1-2km to have 0 chance in balloting. The school had to quickly call this group of parents. Some didn't have a chance to react as they didn't expect to receive a call from school last min!
Wow you mean the group of parent in 1km come register at 4.15pm register?Wow like to react even the parent can fly? -
Hi qms,
I am out of 2km for both Clementi and Qifa and <1km for Fairfield
Thanks

then those staying > 1 km better have a last minute backup school in mind too.
Be mentally prepared! Last minute receive phone call from school telling them no chance is ... just because some staying < 1km last minute made up their mind, decide to rush down ballot their chance of luck < 1 km. -
Last minute kind situation a bit difficult to handle. Unless the parents standby at their backup school. So that if there are such cases, the parents can dash into the backup school to register in the hope to beat the clock. Like a scene out of a comic book.

Hi Chief KS,
I am trying for Phase 2B (grass roots volunteer) for Henry Park and Nanyang Primary. Staying within 1km to Henry Park and more than 2km from Nanyang Primary. What are my chances under Phase 2B for both these schools?
Also, since I am eligible under Phase 2B for schools under Holland Bukit Timah and Tanjong Pagar GRC, any other schools that I should also consider?
Thanks in advance for your help! -

If you are unsuccessful with FMPS in P2C, your only choice in P2CS may be Pei Tong. Historically, places in Clementi were taken up in P2C. As for Qifa, balloting will take place for those staying nearer the school even if there are places left for P2CS.
There was one year Qifa produced the top scorer for PSLE. It depends on your criteria for selecting a school before we can stay which school is better.
Since your house is < 1 km from FMPS, are the schools in Queenstown nearer to your house than these schools in Clementi?
Have a backup plan ready. -

Based on historical statistics, you seemed quite safe for Henry Park. As for NYPS, I think you can forget about it. Henry Park is a good school, too. -
I can reg with smps under phase 2b but my first choice is scgs where i m within 1 km. But judging from this yearโs no for scgs, there seem tp be v high chance for balloting in phase 2c. Anyone can advise which the best way to execute this?

last year 2011:
a number of PV for NYPS staying > 2 km clocked > 80 hrs.
but in the end, they were not given any chance to ballot.
observe if this trend repeat for 2012 this year batch.
