Thanks, thanks, ladies! I feel a whole lot better now!!! I know my husband is like that cos he had an MCP dad and a mum who did everything for the family. Itโ€™s a condition which seems pretty prevalent with the current generation of Singaporean adult males. Gosh, I hope our sons (and daughters) donโ€™t end up like that. Note to self: must get the young ones to mop the floor and chip in with housework, etc!

hi Hokkiengirl, hope you felt a little better after letting off steam here. Being a SAHM is not easy at all, the sacrifices we made for our family, no social life, no personal income etc etc...I understand perfectly as I'm also a SAHM.

Maybe you can consider getting a FT maid or part-time cleaning help to reduce your load and free up your time for yourself and your hubby as well? ๐Ÿ˜‰
Husbands always think that job of SAHMs are easy. All the nitty gritty things to do is irritating. Like 'stringing' the bolster case, cleaning the fans, sewing the loose buttons, cleaning the carpet etc. Every morn after they leave for school/work, I have to tidy up the house. Sian :stupid:

That idiotic fella can play deaf when kids fight  and I had to ask him if he heard anything. Then what he preaches and does are 'amazing'. He told the kids NO TV. Yet, he switches it on all the time or else plays with iPad or iPhone when he has to coach kids in their Math. When he sits beside them at table, he listens to music
Weekends now are dedicated to son's tuition...when it is time for son to rest, he will suggest going to Bugis Junction or Vivo City etc etc. I have no life myself since beginning of this year. If I can stay at home to accompany kids, why can't he?

What some guys fail to realise that while they can let off steam after work @ home, SAHM canโ€™t cos our home is our "office" ! We are always on 24/7.

I have 4 "schedules" concurrently running everyday : my dd, DH , housework and my own (need to have some "ME" / downtime). Sometimes have to multi-task To juggle all.

            Skip the housework....

We poor sahm have to do school run in this hot hot hot weather. Just driving and waiting under the burning sun is enough to kill whatever grey cells we have. Even sitting under the shade with the windows open is a torture.

Worse for those who have to depending public transport....and still need to take a short walk to school.... ๐Ÿ˜“

Now arm with either hat or umbrella (in fact hat not so effective) and a small electric fan + water spray, waiting under the hot sun is so much better. ๐Ÿ˜„

All that is missing is a small sun deck chair. :rotflmao:

For men, home is where they can let off stress or frustrations. But I cannot possibly let off steam in a place that is OFFICE...so what I can do is to beautify my office. Decorate it the way I like. Men can go anywhere they like during lunch. But we do not have the luxury of doing so.

Last 2 days super hectic. Donโ€™t even had a chance to switch on my laptop.

My dd commented Iโ€™m really good at multi-tasking. This afternoon, I was coaching her Chinese & ironing at the same time. Washing machine and vacuum running in the background. Doing 4 things concurrently. After that, cook dinner. Now I can hardly straighten my back, so tiring!

Mine also like that. Read newspaper, play iphone games when coaching Maths.

I told him, no multi-tasking when coaching kids. 100% dedication. Don't he dare allocate questions and then play games in meantime. I will confiscate iPhone.
