      QQFren:

Seriously, my gal is in Endeavour Pri. I am glad she is in there. But if she can't get in, my next preference is SPS.

How I wish my son can get in Endeavour Pri too. May I ask what is the best for me? Should I ballot in Canberra or Endeavour? Is SPS next better choice that WPS? The P from WPS was previously from Shuqun Pri, heard WPS is getting better. How true is it?
      🤷

I think this is up to you. Perhaps you can monitor the available vacancies after each phase then decide if you should go for the balloting schools.
As for WPS, I am not sure of the changes in there and I cannot advise you if it is getting better. Maybe you can try to go into WPS forum and see you can find some existing parents' opinion šŸ˜„

Hi Tane75, Wellington Primary School Open house is on this Saturday, 14 July. You may want to visit the school and have a feel on the students and Teachers. I have asked around and was told that the Principle and Vice Principle of the school are good. But again, not sure if the teachers are the same.

Well, this question is very individual. To some it is stressful but to some it is not. We can\"t avoid stress but how can we maintain our kid interest and stamina to study is one of the key factor. Primary school is just the beginning
still got long way to go. Beside academic, we also need to develop good charactor and attitude in our kid which is the foundation.

Totally agreed. Although is good to excel in academic but character, values and integrity is what they will need to guide them to make the right decision when parents are no longer with them. It is from young we need to set the foundation. The level of stress in s :heresmyfish: chool work depends on the expectation of them. And i believe that can be managed.

Hi Snowyee, integrity is one of the values that Endeavour has highlighted. However, regardless of whether the school has called it out as a core value, I believe every school in Singapore in some way or another will want their students to grow up as a person with integrity and correct moral values.

My daughter often share with me the incidences happened during recess, in class or in school. She told me what the teachers, or principle or vice-principles had advised or taught them. I am glad and happy to know that the school is not only focusing on their academic performance but their conduct as well at all times. The school may be "young" or filled with young teachers, but they are warmth and creative in teaching. If you ask me if it is a good school, I would say yes.

Hi, qqfren, thanks for your valuable advise. I really hope my boy will successfully admit to endeavour. Looks like the competition very strong. By the way, any recommendation for after school care centre in Sembawang?
