Does this mean that ur dd is amongst the top-8 in S'pore in her age group? Whoa, that's certainly an achievement. You remind me of Funx3. Don't out-of-the-blue ask us to guess ur dd's T-score then tell us it's 26x huh. πŸ˜‚

Can I support your dd in spirit instead. Today oredi mc, if tomorrow still not back in office wait later boss treat me fried cuttlefish. πŸ˜“

Ds is reading this Alex Rider series we got from the library and he can't put them down. It's one of those on TAS's recommended list about a teenage super-spy. Ds said it's addictive.

The books are not difficult to read; a P1 strong in English should be able to handle it - I recommend as they managed to keep that monkey of a boy still for quite a while. πŸ˜„

Too late, final over..... Both phpps kids did themselves proud :grphug: by meeting expectation but competition too stiff to get into top 3... 50m butterfly girl 2nd place to 5th place reach within 0.5sec of each other, dd and the girl in front timing is only 0.05sec difference.... Such a pity.... but next year we'll do it.

Why is PH suddenly so popular as compared to previously? Yikes!!
Not suddenly, it has been popular for years...I believe the current parents who went through this registration P1 past few years will be so glad they do not have to go through it this year again. With decreasing intake numbers for PH and those Bukit Timah schools, the supply/demand balance gets tilted further. All the best, toots!
Anybody knows why there is a decrease in intake for PH? It used to be 330 for quite some time and reduced to 300 recently. Some schools maintain 390 intake. 30 places means a lot! This year phase 1 seems so popular. What are the chances for phase 2C within 1 km?

Some other schools also cut down 30 each year. I believe it is to prepare for the single session in a few years time.

Used to be 360. Reduced to 330 2 years ago, then 300 from last yr onwards. Believe will maintain at 300 now. Reason is to cater to MOE single session requirement. Many schools have been reducing or will be reducing if their P1 and P2 are currently in the afternoon session.

Unsure what you mean by \"of any good\". If a child doesn't get in, put on waiting list first. If there is a vacancy, the P has the discretion to decide who she wants to give it to. Based on my observation, the priority usually goes to the PVs, followed by those within 1km.
