Of course, and its too bad. Its a free country, if they feel they can do better elsewhere, then certainly its their prerogative to leave.

Hot potato issues? I think we've had it good for too long, we've become a navel-gazing society. A little bit of adversity and we go yelling to mama. Try 50% youth unemployment in Spain.

You are highly delusional if you really think this is a free country. You speak as if it is so easy to uproot and go away for good. If that was the case, we would have witnessed a mass exodus by now. Many of the poor and middle class are enslaved to their 30-40 year housing loans debts-how exactly can they simply pack up and say goodbye?

they can sell the flats, cash in the profit, redeem the loan, zero debt, pack up, and go

just purely from the pov of getting rid of debt to uproot. not impossible. just willing or not ?

Which is that country that is not having any hot potato issues now?

You know, this response of yours just rendered me SPEECHLESS. You are truly a GENIUS.
serious quitters have no difficulty leaving

whiners and half-hearted quitters cannot stomach the idea of leaving, NATO, or left and regret

Thank you, I think I will go pop my meds now. πŸ˜‰

Please don't presume to speak for the masses. And pray tell which country in the world the mass exodus would be to, should the floodgates be opened?

I think I am very easily contented. I do not see how Singapore is so unbearable even with all it’s bad points. And I also do not see how any other country can offer me a life that have all the pluses and no minuses. Must be really blind. But a happy blind.
