mummy so kiasu:

My boy told me that their school principal had breakfast ( Mac Donald's sausage mac muffin) with them today. Recess was extended to one hour & he took the opportunity to motivate them.

*applause* such a nice principal your boy has !
Now is the time to control our stress level and keep motivating and be a support pillar for our dear kids.

I have to show him more TLC now...or else he won't be able to take the stress if I push him. So if he wants to eat anything, hubby and I will try to get it for him...but control his diet nearer PSLE.

It's a fine balance... been adding too much TLC to counter sch stress that she became too relaxed!! :slapshead:

So now I must learn to dish out the right doses of TLC, cheerleader and \"whip\" :nunchuk:
sec schools they are from and the type of friends they mix with. A teacher from RI recently told me that RI students are self motivated The teachers do not have to teach much in such competitive environment.

Come Aug 1, NO more fried food.

Both kids having blocked & runny nose…kept them at home to rest. Not a productive day to get any revision done for older one. Heard some schools starting prelims SOON.

Younger kids need lot of motivation from school & parents. As they grow older, it will depend on the sec school they go to & the type of friends they mix with. A teacher from RI recently told me that RI students are self motivated. The teachers don’t have to teach much in such competitive environment. Teaching in top schools is more relax than teaching in neighborhood schools.

Boy's oral on 23/24 July. Written papers 22/8 onwards (I think). Only remember dates for PSLE. Aug 16/17 are VERY important dates. Yet to receive the index number.

Sec school selection booklet can be put one side first until end of whole PSLE. Think our kids are stressed and pressurized enuf. Gave him a day off today...no revision or homework. Gosh, I feel some relief too 🕺

This is really a test on our kids' mental toughness ! Just make sure they don't lose that \"fire\" . 😓

                        Jia you, everyone ! :rahrah:
