Why slim chance? You can make it better by doing many things:

      1) Move house to within 1km
      2) Join grassroots since no PV

I assume you and the kid are citizens lah… You still have time so don’t need to give up yet.

Heh. I’m already at 2B so no need for grassroots. Next, I also just moved 2 years ago, so not likely to move too soon, esp with the kind of cov that flats around there are commanding. Now at 1-2 km. But with uncertainties during registrations, I’m not confident of securing a spot. I also don’t like balloting. Don’t think I would even want to sit through one. If balloting fails, I have to go through balloting again at 2C at another school. Again, not an ideal situation.

Therefore, I am willing to forgo IJ TPY if I can confirm put my dd in another ok-in-my-opinion school. Probably other IJs but it would look stupid to me to go to a further one!

Hi, im preparing for PV at IJ Lady of Nativity in years to come. (My DD is only 2 yrs old.. duh) *chuckkles*

a friend of mine mentioned that early of the year, IJ students will receive a letter for registration for siblings. She even mentioned that can be recomended for relatives as well who wish to join IJ and skip the Phases for P1 registration. Is it possible? 🤷

          blur.

              No.

Not possible...phase 1 is strictly for those who have older siblings in the school...not relatives.

IJ TP doesn’t take in PV prior P1 registration…existing PVs are those whose daughters are already studying in the school. However, you may want to try calling to enquire more from the IJ school you plan to register your gal.

Does anyone know whether St Nicholas has PV services?

Yes they do. But only for pple living within 1km at the time of PV application.

Even if PV, still stand slim chance of getting in coz the no. of seats available is really little. This year, Phase 2B only left with 15 seats for balloting. And Phase 2B includes PVs, grassroots and Catholics.

Can forget about it if you live outside 1km.
