The pirority for SC is activated when there’s balloting.

For example in phase 2B. There are 20 vacancies.

In a situation whereby there are only 20 applicants. All will be accepted regardless of SC and PR, as long as they qualify for this phase.

In a case of demand more than supply. There are 21 applicants.

20 SC and 1 PR, all 20 SC will get in.

15 SC and 10 PR, 15 SC will get in regardless if their home distance to school. Now for the remaining 10PR, the distance will be considered. If all 10 are <1km, balloting will be conducted for this group. If it’s 2 PR<1km, 1 PR 1-2 km and 7 PR > 2km, then balloting is only among the 7 PR.

In the case of 22 SC and 10 PR. Then the 10PR no chance to even ballot. The process will only for the 22 SC. The home distance from school will come into play for the 22 SC.

I have amended a figure in my post. Should be 7PR >2km or else the numbers do not add up.

Hi all, I very worried. I have PV for ai tong and will be going for Phase 2B.

            Currently, total seats is 330 and results are 1A (150), 2A1 (61), 2A2 (??), 2B(??), 2C (??). If based on last year statistic, 2A2 predict to be 107, then 2B and 2C left only 6 seats each?

Wow, it is less than 10% chance (assuming >60 ballots for each phase). Why like tat? stay less than 1km + doing pv + singapore citizen chances so low????

Sigh, tat is the only \"walking distance\" primary school my daughter can go..... No more neighborhood primary school near my place 😞

Really lost.... if my gal cant get in to Ai Tong.....
Suggest to think of a back-up school now so that you will be more prepared. Statistically speaking you still have a chance.

            All the best.

I printed out the Summary of Immunisation History and saw MMR D2 \"No Records\".

So I called up the Polyclinic to check if it is a must to have the jab before P1 registration.

The person on the line told me it is a must and I panicked and quickly booked an appointment to get it done.

However, I subsequently found out it is not a requirement for those born in 2006 and here is the link http://www.singaporedoc.com/index.php/mmr-vaccination-schedule-update.html

The schedule from the National Immunisation Registry's footnote says
\"##\t2nd dose of MMR can be given between 15-18 months. Babies who turn 12 months of age on or after 1st December 2011 should receive 2 Doses of MMR vaccine as per above schedule.ACTION=DISPLAY_IMMUNSCH\"
              http://www.nir.hpb.gov.sg/nir/sv/eservices/eservicesv?ACTION=DISPLAY_IMMUNSCH

Hope nobody got a fright like me!

I am a SHHK member but will not choose SHHK schools.
With PV and GRL, the statistics is worrying and if you plus clan/church member then it is even more worrying, makes 2B like 2C.
Don't know whether PR can join SHHK or not? It might provide some relief for your case.

Like what one of the member said (I cannot recall who now), nightmare will begin for PRs from Phase 2B onwards. But with the new policy, we should be able to see reduction of applicants in Phase 1 and 2A in the future.

Hi, I share the same feeling as u...within 1 km only Henry Park, 1-2km Fairfield....after that all >2km..

Henry Park only left 98 seats after 2A1. If my DS cannot get in HPPS, he has to travel >2km everyday for school.... 😒

I think MOE should do something better to solve P1 registration problem. I don't understand why parent have to go through the stress which is unnecessary... :stompfeet:
