I had one who come here a few days and then had cough and flu. She blamed that we buy her KFC for dinner and we told her off that if you know you don’t feel well you should voice out and not to gobble up the meal. Send her home within the first week. My loss: her one-week salary, taxi fare from causeway to my house, medicine fee, non-refundable ang pow $50 that I paid her upon her arrival and taxi fare from my place to causeway.

Today I saw a damn selfish parent when I fetched my child home from BRMCK this afternoon. What happened is that, she helped her son to put on a mask before he gets into the car. So it means the child did not put mask when he was in class but only after school as afraid he will pass to her.

That parent don’t give a damn to other kids in the class but only herself. She should have asked her kid to stay home or put mask during lessons and not after end of class. Pissed…

My son is starting in BRMCK this coming new year. I would like to find out from fellow mummies here more info on March school holiday (we are planning to take him overseas and need to apply leave early).
BRMCK 1st term starts on 7 Jan, primary schools start on 2 Jan. Does that mean BRMCK March holiday will start later than primary schools (16 March)?

Late start only for first term only. March school holiday will follow the normal calendar. My elder kid just graduated from the school and the younger one attending n2 am next year too.

Does anyone know the contact to book/charter for a pte van to go Legoland (fetch from home - legoland - then home). I have 3 kids, maid , MIL …etc. so will be more convenient to have such arrangement.

I am the youngest and the most friendly one so I will greet them with a big ‘hello’ whenever I see any of them. I don’t call them ‘da Sao’ formally but they are ok with it. Sometime they will greet me first. We are not close but ‘ok’ relationship.

There's 6 classes of P1s & 2s with around 30 - 34 students per class. Students can opt for various enrichments on Orientation Day, or not if they prefer. Students will be offered enrichments in P2 & P3, but CCA is only compulsory from P4. Check put the school website, SCGS.edu.sg, for more details.


Students will also be exposed to various other enrichments throughout their primary school, both run by school teachers and external vendors. For instance, in P1, my dd's cohort were taught roller blading after exams. They did a term of dance classes for PE, culminating in a performance at the end of the year to which all parents were invited. They're also introduced to golf, chess, art appreciation, Chinese tea drinking appreciation, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese wayang, and lots of other things that i haven't touched on, over the years. Some are run during term time, some after exam activities (so please do not plan to leave for a holiday before the official end of term), some run during extended (1hr) recess ... Oh, and some of these activities a run by parent volunteers, so please do join in.

My maid asked for advance salary and I gave it to her without asking reason thinking her family back home needs the money. But she came back from off day and bought a mini laptop. I told her it is ok to use as long as she finishes work but she took for granted. She started using so frequently and addicted to facebook with thousands f friends. I fed up and stopped her using my wireless. I asked her to keep her laptop but she already ‘addicted’ to Facebook so now she uses phone face booking. Sigh! Should have stop her using laptop before h gets ‘hooked’ to facbook. Anyway sending her off soon.
