LOLMum:
Was at chancery lane carpark to pick ds up at 1:25. A small boy with a crew cut in grace field uniform was seen walking towards the zebra crossing (the one nearer to the main road). Quickly told him to come back to pavement when he was about to take a step out.
For the next few minutes he was all by himself. No one came to him. Then he climb onto the metal grill and sat on it. Told him not to in case he fell backwards and get hit by a car. He ignored me. Asked him who he was with. No reply. Good because I was a stranger and he shouldn't be talking to me.
He was staring at some maids so I went up o two separate groups of maids to see if they know him.... Not one of them knew him....
So I really not know who the child came with. I didn't notice an adult keeping a watch over him. They were busy talking in groups or with the face turned towards the clock tower.
When I walked past him later, he was still alone but at least he was on the pavement.
As for me, I try to accompany him for while with a smile. -
Kept an eye on him the whole time I was there till ds came…even told him to get off the metal grill and stayed on pavement.
Just couldn’t help but wonder why his adult companion wasn’t keeping an eye on him.
At first thought was the maid but after checking around with them…no one knew him…

Can Anyone advise whether ACS conducts any entry/diagnostic test before banding them to different primary 1 class, or the allocation of pri 1 class is at random ?

Also random. No way any school is able to do banding at primary 1.
For ACSP and ACSJ, boys will stay together in P1 and P2. Banding will start in P3. -

That's great, because I understand that some school actually do diagnostic tests for the kids during orientation and band them according to their literacy level.phtthp:

Hi, everyone!
New recruit reporting here!
Does anyone know when the school will inform of the allocation for the P1 classes? Will it be possible on the day of orientation or will it be only made known on their first day of school?
Many thanks and God bless! -
:welcome:
Gee, I don't remember about the class allocation... :scratchhead: I think we received a huge envelop with school info sometime nearer to the end of the year. I also think there was a meet the parents session in dec.
Let me check with dh...but might take a day or two...
Haha, our thread here is not as active as pei hwa's. -
Yup, allocation slip out earlier..
Real fun on Orientation day, parents gather together to play games..
