The longer a child stays in a school the harder it will be for him/her to get accustomed to environment changes. Need to re-adapt to new rules, friends, teachers etc... Moreover, for P3 transfers, it will be based on academic achievements? Do the students take exams for P1 and P2?
It is easier to get the transfer after P3. That's when there are more vacancies after about 15 pupils from Pei Hwa move on to GEP schools each year. -

Hi all parents,
would like to find out what is P1 like in PeiHwa.
1) Are there examinations for P1?
2) The learning standard of school. Is it fast pace?
3) Are the children all from well-to-do family?
4) What is the traffic condition like in the morning?
In a dilemma now. I am staying in the east and my dd expressed interest in this school. Need to know what is the situation like in school. Am an ex-ph student. -

It all depends on the child on how soon the child adjusts to the new environment. -

Staying in the east is already a very good reason not to register in PH. Traffic condition along expressway or Bukit Timah Road is :siao:Hi all parents,

You should make a trip on a normal school day with your child to experience first hand the road condition. Then choose a rainy day to try out the route again. -
Oh and one of question.
Being an alumni means a guaranteed place? I do not need to do PV or stay within 1km?
Am really lost. The property is raising so fast. Worried about unable to find a affordable place. -

Have u registered? Better register first if you have not done so. I am glad that my son is in this school. He is not the only one that has made new friends, I have too!Hi all parents,

1) Are there examinations for P1? No exam except performance and mini tests spread throughout the year currently. Maybe the p2 parents will be in better position to answer this since they had gone through the full year.
2) The learning standard of school. Is it fast pace? Ok for my boy at the moment. But I can't represent all. My boy is an avg child.
3) Are the children all from well-to-do family? Not really. We have neighbours who are not and friends who are very well-off. I would say is a mix.
4) What is the traffic condition like in the morning? P1 and P2 in the afternoon session. Should be ok at the moment.

Thanks Jennifer.
So after 20 odd years, the traffic condition to school has yet to improve. Maybe planning for a move to the west.
Is PeiHwa a fast pace environment?
Also alot of well-to-do family? -
Thanks scaryโฆ
Haven registered as alumni. WIll be doing so.
Hope to find a place in the west. And gotta prepare dd well for P1.
