Remember when you register, there's a column about the distance?
Totally know how you feel. I saw only 30 seats left after 1st day of Phase 2A2.... biting nails now... cos still got 1 day to go.... if more than 30 applicants, 2A2 will require to ballot.... (cross finger! cross fingers!!!!)Pegasus24:
Has anyone got any idea if any schools have ever held balloting for Phase 2A2? I just registered today and learnt that there're only 25 vacancies left. I'm afraid if there are more than 25 applicants tomorrow, there'll be balloting held, and my chance will be extremely slim since i stay beyond 2km.
The school adminstrator told me it has never held balloting in the entire history of the school for this phase, but i'm still nervous!
Will the distance ruling kick in before balloting is done?
Yes, unfortunately. They filter by citizenship first, then by distance... -
The result is out…

I was angry why din my parents send me to popular sch when I was young since there wasn't much competition 30 to 40 years ago. If not, my children will be admitted straight away through phase 2A, my grandchildren will have no worries to go in and also my great grand children and great great grand...there will be no stress for the next generation.
I will not blame them as their life were much tougher than us. The men were usually the sole breadwinner needing to work long hours to serve the bread and butter issue. No luxury to have maids and the women had to stay home looking after the kids. That time, also no mrt or good transport system. So whichever school is nearest they go for it lor.
