I think its either parent. There are other conditions to fulfill for some affliations (reg uner 2B). Its better to check with your wife's pastor/church org to be sure.Need to clarify on church membership : my wife is a amember of a church, but not me - is 1 parent acceptable, or does it have to be both parents ?
Many thanks -

I agree. Check with the church.

Just for our knowledge here, other than baptising, in what other ways you & your family have to be involved in the church to be qualified to be under the 2b?
Thanks!

But if I recall correctly, also need to be active in some committee (e.g. mission work, Sunday school, volunteer work, Youth Service, etc).

Different churches have different 'requirements'. If you really want to go through this way, you must be ready to commit.
If you are aiming for Fairfield, you'll need to enquire with the Methodist churches. -

Active members in my church are refering to those who not only regularly attend sunday services, but also attend prayer meets, as well as actively participate in fellowship activities (bible studies, visitations, ministries, missions, retreats etc). Even when it requires only 1 parent to be its member, the other parent must also be a baptised member of a church. It's almost similar. But if I recall correctly, also need to be active in some committee (e.g. mission work, Sunday school, volunteer work, Youth Service, etc).

But as mentioned earlier, pls check with your church specifically. They may have different conditions
