        estee1819,

Yes they do offer higher chinese but only at the 2nd half of the year after P1. The teacher will monitor and assess the kids for the 1st half of the year to see if the kid is good enough to go for higher chinese classes. At the 2nd half of the year, the kids will be separated into diff classes during their chinese lesson. Those that is good will be group into a class that take high chinese.

Anyone has the contact number of the dentist in CCPS? My DD's adult tooth has grown behind her baby teeth. Not too sure how to go about it. 😞

                    estee1819,

Hmm i think I understand why the principal said that. In some schools, they teach HCL starting from P1. For CCPS, they are quite different. We buy the normal Chinese text and the teachers will teach the gers assuming they are of the same level. As there will be mini tests along the way and also trs observation, for 6 months. After the June holiday, the school will divide the gers into 3 categories. Advanced, average and below average. Those advance learner will be placed in the same class during CL2 lesson and the trs will speed up the learning pace. Those in average will be in normal pace and those below average, the trs will use other method so the gers will enjoy CL2 but in a slower pace. However, if the trs find some of the gers have progress well, she will be promoted to the next level. The trs can also transfer the ger to normal CL2 if her did not do well in CL2.

For P1 CL2, most of it will be HYPY. My ger HYPY is better than me. hahaha…

                    psmissyou,
my daughter did not even tell me about Racial Harmony Day. She just wore her school uniform. I asked her why not, she said she did not want to wear.

                      Hi J2mum

thanks for clarifying regarding the HLC. Actually i graduated from CCPS 20yrs ago and so excited to see from the website that some teachers still teaching in CCPS.
CCPS is definatelty a good school producing 71% express students.

When will they be shifting to the temp premise ? And any idea for p1 next yr is afternoon or morning session ?

Hi, they are shifting next yr but I can’t rbr if all are AM session. I find it is a pity to Reno the current school. It is so retro, I believe u missed the old school. It really is a school of old time unlike the modern school component.
