      Hi All πŸ˜„

My daughter is in P3 this year...and I was from CHIJ BT as well...many moons ago πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

So far for the past 3 yrs my daughter has had really good teachers. Especially in P1..we had emails every other day.. In P3 this yr,,,the teachers want the girls to have independence and learn to pass on impt. info to parents on their own..which i think is really good πŸ˜‰

'Hope' (from p3 onwards) is the 'Best' class followed by Peace...BUT i stress to my daughter that they ALL are the SAME πŸ™‚
      My daughter loves it there...
To all the anxious parents of P1 next year,

Do not have to worry, this is a school with good environment.

I just wrote a letter of appreciation to my girl (P3 next year)'s form teacher last week. Without her patience and guidance and encouragement and the friendship of classmates, my girl will not come this far.....
I had mentioned b4 about my girl's problem in other discussion topics.

I am not a Catholic and I chose this school just because it is close to my mother's house but it turns out to be a blessing for my girl. She will not be able to develop and improve to where she is now if not for the right school and right environment.

My girl truely enjoys her school life here and as a mother, there is nothing more to ask for as my only wish is for her to be able to progress as like normal child. πŸ˜„

        Hi mommies!

A quick intro. My girl is in P1 this year. So hi there to funfantastic4!

So much has changed since I last visited this forum. So glad there is a parents network here, cause there’s hardly any in the school!!! I agree that the school keeps a distance from the parents. I hope with the change in principal, this will be improved!

Hope your girls get into the desired class! Cheers everyone!

          Dear mummies,

Though my girl has yet to be in the school, however I'm currently doing my PV there. Throughout my PV, I can deduce that the environment is indeed very good and there are warm and friendly teachers ard who will chat with us and bring us drinks and food during our PV. This is so unlike wat I heard from my fren doing PV in other schools. Children are well behaved and disciplined. I like them. In fact, our group of PV parents are happy doing our volunteering work there. But of course no school is perfect, we do have encounters of teachers who are just not tat pleasant. And yes, we heard the principal will be changed next month. We are also wondering how the new mgt will be like. Keep our fingers crossed!

              Lock:
Ya, to help her cope in the competitive environment, I have to keep reminding her that she only needs to do her best and not be bothered by marks.

But I am glad, my daughter still goes to school and comes home cheerfully everyday despite having to split from her previous P1 classmates. Keeping my fingers crossed that she will remain happy in school till P6. πŸ˜„

Joy class also has a girl who goes to Hope for chinese.
              πŸ˜„
              Hi Lock,

Your girl staying in the same class or going to Hope? Any idea how many students in Hope class?

              Cheers! πŸ˜„

My girl will be joining the Hope class next year. She has worked hard during the 1 week PSLE marking days and I am very proud of her. πŸ™‚

I think there are about 38 students in Hope class. Not very sure. But she told me 13 from Peace and 2 from Joy went over to Hope.

                    Hi Lock,

Congrats to your dd. She is good. :celebrate: Do you mind sharing roughly what kind of toal aggregate (over 300) on average in order to qualify for hope? Or based on your guess?

                    Thanks!

                      Hi snowyqueen,
A friend's daughter from P2 Hope has 277 and has remained in Hope, my daughter has 275 and the 2 girls from Joy, one has 277 and the other 269. Another girl from Hope, 3rd position in clas, has 265 and she was being posted to Peace. So my guess is that Hope class cut off aggregate is about 269/268.

                        Hi Lock,

Thank you so much for your kind sharing and solving my doubt :? . So my girl missed by 1-2 pts and she got posted to peace instead and I was quite disappointed. Well, no complaint lah, its so competitive. Hope she can do better next year πŸ™

There is one thing I dun quite understand. How can 3rd in hope class got posted to peace. Maybe you meant previously that girl was 3rd in class?
