      muffin:
For ACSJ, 108 vacancies for 2B and 2C, so 54 in each phase.

Do I stand a good chance in 2C, staying <2km?
      Appreciate your opinions. Thanks!
Tough for phase 2C at <2 km......in year 2010 and 2012, there weren't any vacancies. In year 2011, there were only 1 place. Most seats taken up <1km.

ACSJ had to ballot for < 1km last year for 2C. Due to this, some parents withdrew last min and went to SJIJ. This thus, resulted balloting in SJIJ too for < 1km. Diff is the odds in SJIJ is higher than ACSJ for the balloting.

I am assumign that you are referring to failing to get vacancy at phase 2C after they close. From Phase 2Cs, you will know which school has remaining vacancies. What I don't understand from your question is why you are not using your new address (using sale of purchase document) for school registration the first time round. Address is meant to be your permanent address.

                  Hello parents,

Can I check which is the BEST among the 3 student care?
                  1) Ngee Ann Student Care (in the school premises)
                  2) Just Kids (located at Marine Terrace, near Town Council)
                  3) M1 Buzz (Kinderland Group;located at Marine Parade Central)

Need to know which is good to put my son is.
ANY advice or comments on the 3 will be greatly appreciated.

                  Thanks

 Maybe the current address gives her an edge for her school of choice. If she can't get her child in the school of choice, she will use the new address for her backup school?

                        Hi

I am be wrong in this case but in my opinion, I do not think that PR application will be any lesser. The number of applicants is not dependent on SC priority. SC priority only kicks in when the total number of application exceed valid places. Only then will this impact citizens getting a place. If I am PR, I would try regardless.

Secondly, you should be looking at vacancies available this year compared to last year. It is looking that vacancies left this year is lesser than last year and total birth rates is also greater than 2005. As such, competition is stiffer regardless. If there are many parents applying in within 1Km, then for sure 1-2 Km will have lesser chances regardless if you are SC or PR.
