Have u clarify with MOE when they stated full time care by caregiver?Hi all
I failed the statutory declaration today. Reason being they say my mother is not consider caregiver for my daughter. My daughter is currently in childcare now. But next yr, she will be under my mum's care when she goes primary 1, which is why i want to enroll her in the sch near my mum place. MOE officer told me the criteria is my mum shd be the main caregiver currently, not in future when she enroll in primary 1.
Anyone face such situation before?
Kindly advise. V desperate now as the registration is near.
Thanks.
Do they mean the child does not have to attend any childcare but only stay at home with caregiver?if answer is No, I would believe u have a case.
Many children are taken care by grandparents including parent's sibling and MOE should clearly state what is the meaning of full time care. To me, if the child does not stay at the location then it is just another childcare.
Please note even you are successful, you will be accorded to 1 to 2km even if your parent address is within 1km. -

Which phase are you eligible in? If in P2C
The only good thing is RSS has no clan associated to fight in 2B.
I guess the surge in P2A2 is due to the rising birthdate in 2006?
Things may get worse as 2008 has more babies.
Sorry to pour wet blanket on you, what you are hoping for is difficult.
Am in for Phase 2A2 ... :xedfingers: -
Guess which year which shcool will be the first to have 0 placement for 2B or 2C phase?

If the mother had not stayed at the add for about 8-10 yrs then I have another notti qn to ask....... How much did she pay to stay so close to the school :evil:Today's ST has a parent writing in to ask for abolishing of Phase 2A: http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Sto ... 23421.html
Priority for citizens not effective enough... -
Thanks. I tried to post the url but it is not coming out correctly.

P2A2 still safe as of now unless there's a change of policy. :xedfingers:
You are still in time to be eligible to be in P2A1. This year P2A1 (30) P2A2 (70). Really shocked at the figures.
Most alumni would be balloted out as we generally lived more than 2 km from RSS. -

thanks.. how about the timing? will the school inform us in advance? if there is no balloting required for those within 1km, will they be informed in advance i.e, after 20th?BaconEgg:
How does the actual balloting session works? Can any experienced parents share?
